They are not too heavy. I have been wearing twists since last summer. The only problem I have is that I frequent the beach in the summer and my twists unravel. I find now that it is 30C that my twists are sticking a bit to the back of my neck.

I don't think so...People wear braids in the summer too and I don't think they are that much different..2 strands(when twisting) ....3 strands(when braiding).

Not at all....

I like to wear my (single) strand twists pulled back into a bun.

If I don't have time to twist my entire hair, then I'll just wear the 2-strand "flat" twists, going back from forehead to neck, then pull the "length" into a bun.

Keiron, of course I don't think that u wanna wear a "bun"

.... but u could pull the twists back into a ponytail if it's long enough & u wanna get the hair up off of your neck

. I see a few guys with that look

Thanks all real helpful.........today i went out and they felt good great just hanging lookin and feelin nice and thank god the ORS does not unravel my twist........also how long does ur twists last for??

I love my twists. I do mine the width smaller than a pencil, and it takes 4-5 hours. I use kemi oyl shea butter pomade, and they have incredible shine, and last 2 weeks. I conditioner wash everyday for 2 weeks with them in. They don't unravel either. The make my hair feel so light in the summer, especially beacuse i have a not so small 4b afro when it's not twisted.
