Great. I love their colour range and the fact that it doesn't have any ammonia, peroxide, or alcohol in them and you can colour the same day you relax. My hair actually felt better after colouring with this product. I have 3 colours but only used the black one. I have Black Velvet, Topaz and Clear. I may try the clear tomorrow.
A stylist put the Crystal Clear on my relaxed hair once. My hair was very soft and shiny for about a month afterwards. I think it was a combination of the hot dryer and the protein in the product... I keep saying I'm going to ty this product on my natural hair one day.
Ladies,
I am currently using Sebastians Cellophanes rinse but is Adore a actual color/ does it have good benefits such as:
1. Ur hair appears thicker
2. It has protein
3. Does it coat ur hair strands
I hope Tracy reads this because i know she uses the product
I was thinking of trying the clear one but I'm still unsure. Am I right in thinking that the crystal clear contains no colour and is like a rinse? What are the actual benefits on the hair?
The Crystal Clear doesn't add any color to the hair. It doesn't have alcohol, peroxide or ammonia. My stylist told me that Adore is a conditioner that makes the hair very shiny. That was true in my case. One of the first ingredients is hydrolyzed collagen. It has aloe vera in it, too. She put it in immediately after my touch-up.

Sassygirl, does it coat the hair strands? (so that it acts like a kind of protectant from breakage and damage)

I'm not a clor expert, but the protein in it leads me to believe that yes, it coats the hair strands. Also, the owner of this particular salon wore a press and curl. She says Adore made her hair stronger and able to withstand the heat from the blow dryer and hot comb. She used a blue black color, though.
Adore is my favorite. I have used Adore to change my hair to pinks, red, navy blues. I love it. It gives me the freedom to change my hair color whenever I feel like it without damage.
I don't think there're any charts online, sorry.... but I have used this on my hair before with no damage, didn't notice any shine but the color's very vibrant and lasts a long time which is unusual for red tones. I've used both Hot Pink and Fuchsia. Oh, and surprisingly in my experience the color on the bottle is actually what you get. HTHS!
I used this about 2yrs ago in a burgandy type shade on top of my blonde highlighted hair and it came out like cherry highlights. It was cool but washed out quicker than Sebastian. Also, don't get caught in the rain with a light colored top!!

I dyed my hair today with the black velvet. I have the Crystal Clear, but not used it yet. I am going to try this next touch up. Will update you then.

LD, does the black velvet have a bluish tint to it or is it just pure black?

That is the exact reason why I stopped using semi-perm colors. LondonDiva turned me on to Adore a while back and I've used about three different shades (two brownish shades and Crystal Clear).
When I used the Clear, it surprisingly made my black (with hints of dark brown & light roots) hair look GLOSSY and much darker. Very rich looking. I loved it. Not sure how that happened, but my hair not only looked much, much shinier, but also much blacker. I got so many compliments on my hair the weekend after I put the Clear in. Hmmm, I haven't used it in a while, might have to pick some up!
I use this routinely when I can't afford Sebastian. I love the clear especially but I've tried some of the reds and golds as well.
I on't have trouble with bleeding - but my hair may be more porous because of the dye I have underneath.
The Adore isn't REALLY a conditioner - but it does contain nice amount of protein to strenthen the hair. Also the PH of most rinses is roughly about 2.5-3, which makes them very acidifying - so they seal the cuticle (not like an airtight vault - just mildly like a longer lasting conditioner) and help protect the cortex.
The Adore is also easier to apply at home then the Sebastian. The texture meakes it easier to spread. The Adore is cremier while the Sebastian goes on more like a gel.
Quick question though. Someone mentioned that it has protein in it. So, has anyone experineced any problems with their hair getting hard and dry from it?
At the beauty supply store. They sell them at just about all the beauty supply stores I know of. It looks like this, except mine is called "Crystal Clear", I believe.
