I use the Motions mild relaxer which supposedly has oil in it. I was wondering if anyone has added EVOO or something similar to this and what their results were?
I am relaxing this weekend and wanted to get some advice before I experimented with it. I would really like to know how much and what kind of oil to add. I really like EVOO and plan to use it unless anyone knows for a fact this would be bad.

Hi notsomebody, there are 2 versions of the Motions lye relaxer. The one that has moisturizer in it specially says "Motions Oil Moisturuzer Relaxer". So be sure this is the one you have. I personally have never mixed oil in the relaxer because I used the above version. However, I know Caramela (I think) mixes Olive Oil with hers. The point is to add moisture to and cut the strength of the relaxer. The oil adds a buffer of protection for your hair strands to help prevent overprocessing. As far as the amount, I have no idea. Maybe someone else will post on it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
