ACV

I am probably the only one to have not done an ACV rinse yet and I have a question that may seem dumb. Is it basically just pouring the stuff on your scalp straight from the bottle or does it have to be dilluted with any thing first? Since I have cornrows in I thought I could just take a cotton ball and rub this on each part then rinse it. Is this okay or not? thanks

You might want to dilute or you'll wind up smelling like pickles! I know from first hand experience! /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

I suggest mixing 1/4 cup acv with about a gallon of distilled water, shake and pour. I even did it with my braids in.

Thanks so much simplycee. i would hate to have ended up smelling like that. The transition is going good. Im on the no measuring challenge so I can say how much natural hair I have yet. It is nice to see my hair progressing though.

I have tried a plain ACV rinse and it does not do much for me. I prefer 1/4 to 1/3 cup of ACV with either 1.5 to 2 quarts of water with rosemary EO or strong rosemary tea.

Are you looking for ways to wash your cornrows? Den1 uses the stocking method to cover the head.

when i use ACV i take the bottle and pour over my head in the shower....i smell like conditioner when i get out...i dont measure..i repeat pouring until i feel like im fully stripped

It also clarifies product build up.

Thanks Queenie. I remember hearing something about that years ago /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I wonder which would be easier to use/ is less harsh on the hair (ACV or BS)? Hmmmm!
