I was tempted to try it, but decided against it. My only haitian hair method is the use of black castor oil on my scalp 1x a week. I can definitely vouch for its ability to help me retain my growth.

I used it for a couple of months and it did nothing for my hair. I even went so far as to use the hair grease which goes along with it and nada.

Beana: I got some Black Castor oil from some Haitian lay in the States and it has an unusual but not unpleasant smell. It is thick and very dark brown. She said that it is Palm Kernel oil, but personally, I would not know what Palm Kernel oil looks like or smells like. She said they call it L'huile Maskiti and they mix it with Minoval.

I used it straight after washing my hair. My hair didn't fall out but, it didn't get any better.

i have minoval, i use it aprox 2x per week when i remember, maybe i need to be more consistent to get results. i'm going back to gueye's hair oil, that's what works for me.
