Acidifiers anyone???

How many of you ladies use acidifiers for your hair? If so, how often do you use them and do you use it before or after shampooing/conditioning? Also, can you name a few good ones. I hear these are supposed to be very good for the hair and I'm thinking about using them too.

Acidifiers
Acidifiers are designed to close the cuticle layer of the hair. The cuticle is the last layer of the hair strand. It overlaps like fish scales. When hair is chemically processed, the cuticle opens and stands out. This causes the internal structure of the hair to become exposed and unprotected. A raised cuticle causes the hair to feel dry and look dull. When an acidifier conditioner is properly applied to the hair, the cuticle closes and the hair becomes shinier and more vibrant. Vinegar and lemon water rinses are natural acidifiers and should be used with each shampoo.

Acidifiers
When a product carries a pH of 2.5 to 3.5 it is normally termed an acidifier. This pH will close the cuticle layer of the hair. Resulting in shiny, bouncy hair.

So I'm guessing an ACV rinse would be considered an acidifier?

I used Nexxus Ensure after applying protein and then moisturising conditioners. It detangles and smoothens my hair, which helps after heavy duty proteins.

Is Roux Porosity an acidifier?

I think it is, but this is what I use. I use it monthly (or whenever I remember) but I want to start using it weekly. I always have soft, silky hair after I use this. I use it as my final conditioner.
