? About Irritated scalps

For those of you who have ever suffered from scalp pain and sores/soreness not related to chemicals...how long does it usually take for it to pass??? I want to get my hair relaxed soon and was just wondering about how long i should plan to wait. TIA

It took about a week for me, CheerBear. My scalp got irritated due to an allergic reaction to human hair. I made sure that my scalp was moisturized and deep conditioned my hair and the irritation gradually died down.

What are you currently doing with your scalp to help speed up the healing process?

Carlie I was applying a mmixture of vit e oil and aloe...that only seemed to make it worse though and I've been scratching like crazy. It's not so bad anymore...just very very itchy where the braids were pulling from the part around the middle of my head and the crown..I'll just take it to me my scalp is healing and just try to leave it alone

I would wait until it clears up COMPLETELY. 2 weeks. 6 weeks. Whatever it takes.
