Well, relaxers have finally taken their toll on me. I got a nice PATCH of broken hair, 4"x2", in the crown area. AGAIN! It's all dry and crappy. The thing is, I use mild relaxers and don't even leave it in long. Parts of my hair still have a wave to it. I just don't get it!

Now, I have to resort to a wig. Anyone else here been wig shopping lately? It's a real pain!!! Tons of styles, but I kept having the "wiggy" look no matter what I tried on. Anyway, just venting so...ya, know. whatever.

:mad:I HATE RELAXERS!...okay I'm done.

Yes, I have two wigs now but they don't look too 'wiggy' on me. I have a curly one and a long straight one. I'm thinking about trading he curly one in or giving it to my mom...it's kinda hot.

I'm not gonna wear wigs all the time. I'll either wear my natural hair out once I do another big chop (suffered heat damage recently) or wear a large satin scarf around my head. :yep:

Me too!! Seriously though, I am sorry to hear that.
Ever considered 'going natural'?
As far as a wig, I've never worn one. But, what about those wig caps that some stylists make where they take weave hair and make a wig cap?

Hmmm, I never thought of that. I'll look into it.

As far as going natural. Been there, done that, TWICE! And, yes, I will be doing it again . I have no choice but to get comfortable with this dry *** peice of crap on top of my head. I'm sorry, but me and my hair do NOT like each other right now:whip:.

 That is too funny.

I've been there--last week to be exact. I have a bald spot (dime size) due to a bad relaxer that I paid $65 to get- NEVER AGAIN. At least my hair covers it. I've decided to do a long transition (or as long as I can go) and NOT relax again at all.

I was wearing wigs for a couple of weeks (before the incident) but gave them up. I had a an off black one (Beverly Johnson) with a middle part (shoulder length) that worked well.

I had a brown one (long, curly with bangs-- synthetic) that looked awful. I just suggest getting one without clips (they take your hair out sometimes), and one with a lot of room to let your hair breathe. Also, if your hair is wavy and medium length, I would get one that closely resembles YOUR hair-- that way it's not so foreign. Good luck!!! :D

I bought a wig on a whim like a month ago and I LOOK GOOD. I was going to an event and I know I sweat alot when dancing or its really hot and I didn't want my hair looking busted afterwards. So I just bought a wig and I looked hot the whole night.

It cost me like 27 dollars the regular beauty supply store, its 1b its like a two layer cut, short around the front with bangs and long in the back.

Im actually in the process of transitioning, wearings braids now plan to get a retouch this week. I am going to buy a couple more wigs too, I love the diversity, short, long, highlights, then I can go back to my natural hair and then to braids.

People aren't going to know what im coming with, next time. My wig doesn't look wiggy like sitting two inchs off my head, but your going to know its not mine if your a friend. As long as im not wearing wigs 24 /7 or should I say the same wig trying to fool people into thinking its mine, I don't see a problem with wearing wigs. They are great.

I, too, am in the market for a wig. I just got my especially yours catalog yesterday. I like the hair sisters site and their wigs, but their pictures are so small. I wish they were bigger because there are a few wigs on there that I like. I may try googling the brand/model of wig to see if another site sells it, so that I can see a bigger picture.
