A weird question: chaka kahn

I believe when she first came out it may have been her real hair blown out.

But over the years I think it has been a wig for sure. Its was always natty and tangles looking bird nest.

Just comparing to the naturals online/Ytube land its def a wig. It never looks the same ever!

boing boing I think you are right back in the day when she was with Rufus I think it was all her but whether a wig weave or natural I love it. I looove big hair and whenever someone ask me what my goal is I say big Chaka Khan Diva hair.

Yes, its hers, at least in the 70's it was. Check out her original "I'm Every Woman" video below. I have a weave radar, and it definitely did not go off on the early Chaka. In fact, I get compared to her all the time based on her early years. Black womean were sporting the natural look back then, and looking beautiful might I add! Yes, when I first unleashed my hair again last year, I was getting the Chaka Khan comments all the time. So I went and looked up pictures of her to see what people were talking about. Not that I didn't know who she was, but all I could think of were her big long weaves n wigs. I came across this video and some of her pictures w/Rufus. I knew then that she was doing it real, natural and kinky- awesome!
