Please help.

How do you keep your twist from curling up.

I twisted my 4a hair for the first time last weekend and I twisted it dry with some pomade for hold. When I finished they just seemed to coil up. Is is possible it was the humidity. It was out of hand that weekend.

Please let me know your techniques and suggestions.

Thanks in advanced.

I know exactly what you're talking about...It kinda bends in the middle of the strand and curls under. I get these in the back. I would like to know how to keep it from curling as well...

I've never done my twists on dry hair, but it doesn't "curl up" when I do them wet. Maybe try using a spray bottle with water to dampen each section of hair as you're doing your twists, or better yet, use a leave-in conditioner (mixed with additional oil if you desire) instead of the pomade. I'm not guaranteeing this will work, but it's worth a try.

i twists my own hair with water and using the ORS lock and twists gel and it holds great. if u only twists doing it dry then try doing it with damp hair and use the ORS creme gel its so good anf does not coil up or anything i love it.
