Well your hair seems to have a little bit of a curl to it. So it may just turn out to be a straightER version of that hairstyle. It's kind of hard to predict that sort of thing. Either way I think it will be totally cute. Could you do me a favor and maybe update this..your one and only post ever with the pic of your hair after you cut it?
I think you'll kind of have a Jonas brothers thing going on..
You have a very simple regimen so your hair will be shiny and healthy..which is the most important thing. =]

Welcome Maheshwara! Are you aware that this forum is intended for women of color? I don't think you should worry about any unwelcoming feelings with board frequenters, however. I would still suggest you ask this same question at another board (you can pm me for a link), which has more forum members who would have a similar hair type to you or simply going into a local curly-hair friendly salon/stylist.
With that being said, Dylan seems to have a lot of volume at his roots. I am not sure whether or not he used styling products, but I do wonder whether or not your hair is naturally that voluminous. If it is, there seems to be no issue. You seem to have similar thickness, and I can't see any other issues getting in the way. If your hair is not naturally voluminous, I think you should consider using pomade to get your hair closer to the style you intend it to be.

Women of color you say? Well, you know I sure don't have a problem with a brown skin woman telling me like it is. In fact, I kinda like it like that. Anyways, you ladies so far have just about convinced me to go get it cut, thanks for that.
