Interesting.....it sounds similar to the Vics Vapo Rub challenge their doing in another forum. A&D smells some kind of awful though

I wonders what ingredients actually help with growth. Or could it be that it just protects the hair?

Mayvbe it depends on the formulation. another list of ingredients included:

A&D ointment is
a zinc oxide cream- used for diaper rash,the ingredients are good.
active ingredients: dimethicone 1% zinc oxide 10%
aloe barbadensis extract, benzyl alcohol, coconut oil, cod liver oil, viamin a, vitamin d, fragrance, glyceryl oleate, light mineral oil, ozokerite,parrafin, propylene glycol,sorbital,beeswax, water....

If you buy the generic brand from Wal-Mart, it has carrot oil in it. I have used A & D Ointment for years in my hair regimine and Its worked wonderfully!

And make sure that you use the 'clear one' not the one with Zinc Oxide in it (white Desitin looking stuff)

How are you using it? Do you oil your scalp, or use it on your hair? What has it done for your hair? Moisturize, seal, grow, etc?

I wonder...I used to use it on my face as a moisturize...it didn't make me hairy though lol

I bumped this to see if any of you use this on your hair. I'm thinking about purchasing some for my nape that is constantly dry and about 1/2 inches in length.
