I saw this at the beauty supply store today and the same company also makes shampoos, conditioners, and hair dressings. It's supposed to be for kids. I'd also like to know if anyone has a verdict.
The site doesn't explain how it works. How can something that doesn't contain some form of lye of that thio (whatever it is) stuff straighten your hair?
Description:
Pre-teen salon formula for natural and relaxed hair. Made with vitamins, proteins and strengthening moisturizers. Culture's exclusive formulations help prevent breakage, makes hair easier to comb, soft and healthy looking. Look for the ancient Adinkra symbols on every Culture package. Part of a rich tradition, these symbols were developed by the Ashante in Africa over 400 years ago. They express values that live on today. 7 Day Relaxer: Temporarily relaxes curls between shampoos without harsh chemicals. This exclusive formula with Panthenol, Aloe and Vitamin E moisturizers and conditions as it gently loosens tight curls. Note tested on animals. Color safe
I wouldn't trust it seems as if they are trying to talk around the consumer. Why do they spend half the paragraph talking about a symbol and not "How" their product works?
It looks like a heat protectant to me. Put it in your hair and it straightens AS YOU BLOW DRY IT. Just another conditioner/heat protectant packaged to sell.
