Hello again everyone! It has been awhile since I've been on the forums. I have spent the past year working hard so that I could be accepted to nursing school. I start a registered nurse program in a month and am so thankful that all of my hard work has finally paid off!

Anyway, I have had a lot of trial and error with my hair this past year. I have now decided to transition for the third time, and I am sticking to this transition till the end this time. I have finally found my staples, have my regimen down packed, and am doing it all with only three products. I have such a busy schedule with college and work and I needed a simple regimen that I could stick with. I currently wash my hair hair once a week with Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo (expensive stuff, but my hair has been spoiled and won't tolerate any other shampoo), condition my with Queen Helene Cholesterol and a plastic cap for one hour, and then I have recently been using Wild Growth Hair Oil lightly every other day. I admit that it does have a smell to it, but it really doesn't bother me. I put it on at night, put my satin scarf on, and by morning it soaks into my scalp and I personally don't smell it anymore.

I really feel that with this regimen I will be able to do a full transition this time. I am currently 6 months post and my hair has been the most manageable it has ever been. I really owe that to the WG hair oil, though. I can't believe I didn't try it sooner. I would have been able to transition successfully if I had. I also don't feel the need to retouch with a flat iron all the time. And I have three textures: my new growth, my texlaxed hair, and my relaxed hair. I can't tell the difference between my new growth and texlaxed hair, so I have no idea what my natural texture is.

Sorry for the long post, but I am so grateful for this forum. I have a few 6 months post pictures that I am attaching. I know I will be extremely busy when I start nursing school next month, so I am not sure how often I will be able to update. However, I will be sure to post an update on my 12 month mark. I don't plan on doing a BC any time soon. I am going to continue with my regimen and sees what happens. I really feel that this transition is going to be a breeze. I am so excited about it!

Congrats on getting into nursing school. I'm in the process of applying now

Good luck on your transition. Being natural is so much fun

Thank you, and good luck to you too! I didn't realize how competitive the nursing field really is. I know all the studying and loss of sleep will be worth it in the end though, just remember that, lol.

Your hair looks so thick and healthy! Keep it up and your transition will be so smooth. :yep:

Good luck with your studies!

Good luck!!! You have some healthy hair! It looks very well maintained despite your busy schedule! K.I.S.S.!!!

Thank you so much everyone for your compliments! My hair is really starting to improve now that I have found a regimen that I can stick with. I just wished I would have been patient the other two times that I had tried to transition, but I didn't have the right products for my hair at that time. I really hope that I can make APL by my 12 month in June. Even if I don't, as long as my hair is healthy I will be happy either way.

Thanks again everyone!:)

Congratulations on getting into Nursing School!!!
Congratulations on your hair, which looks great!
And congratulations on finding a reggie that works for you! The third time is a charm!

You are in great shape. Congrats on transitioning. The third time's the charm. Do you have color in your hair? If you do it's really subtle and nice looking. You hair is nice and thick too. What hair styles have you been doing for your transition?

Congrats on getting into nursing school. Both my neice and best friend have gone through this process recently and through them I see how intense that can be. You're so smart to have such a simple regimen and product usage. It is definitely working for you because your hair is beautiful. Good luck with school and the transition!
