Re: 4a\'naturals and keihl\'s silk groom

I've had the Kiehl's Silk Groom for over 2 years now - way before I discovered hair forums. I LOVE it!!! Until I discovered the advice on this forum, it was the only thing that protected my ends. I have the 4 oz. size and it has lasted me all this time. I use it on my ends. It only takes a dab. If you're near a Neiman Marcus you can always swing in and ask for a sample - or - if you're in New York, I think they have a store there and I've heard they are very generous dispensing samples that way.

oh, its supposed to be a leave in conditioner that is supposed to be good for hair that is prone to dryness and frizz ( i guess that's us then

).

I've asked on other boards and the concensus seems to be iffy. I think i might just get a sample and see how it pans out.

Thanks for the interest,

I think I'll have to go get samples. We have a Keihl's store in Boston.

I am not natural however I have used the silk groom. I really like it. Kiehl's is reaaly great with giving out samples. I love their skin line. I would suggest going to the counter and getting the silk groom sample.

I'm not natural either, but I love Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom. It's my favorite all time moisturizer.

Re: 4a\'naturals and keihl\'s silk groom

Hello Canuck,

Sorry to have taken so long to respond. I'm not natural, I have relaxed hair (but NOT relaxed bone straight). I'm rather confused about my hair type but have always thought I am either a 4a/4b. I have used the silk groom on my new growth and been very pleased with it.

Where have I been? I'm not sure I needed to know this. Thanks for the tip, Destinee. Time to hit Yahoo Yellow Pages.

Re: 4a\'naturals and keihl\'s silk groom

I've had the silk groom for almost a year. It worked wonders when I was transitioning and my relaxed ends were dryer than my new growth. Now that I have had the big chop, I would say that I probably won't buy it again because my hair does fine using less expensive products like coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, etc.
