I'm thinking about ordering some of her products in january. What products have you used and which would you recommend for 4a/b naturals?

TIA

I am going to order some too. Well, when her store opens back up. Too many raves for me to pass this by. I would order QB too, but too many people complain about the shipping.

 4a/b Natural here

I ordered a couple of months ago. I love the Cocasta Oil, Vatika Frosting, and Whipped Cream. The almond glaze is good for twists and of course smells great. I do like something with a little more hold for my twists though.....I say its worth a try. The Moist 24/7 conditioner was not bad. I've only used it a couple times and leave a little bit in. The only thing that straight up did not work for my hair was the Sitrinillah DC. Smells divine though :lick:.

I'm a 4b and I LOVE the almond glaze for braidouts. It smells delicious too (like all of BJ's products). I use the whipped baggy cream for my ends and daily moisturizing and the whipped gelly for slicking back my hair for bun styles.

Oh yea, my favorite product is the AvoSoya oil. I use that for sealing my ends and in my MegaTek as a mixer. I also use Vatika Frosting for sealing, shine and mixing in with some of my DCs

I also have the Sitrinillah DC, but didn't experience the results others have raved about. It is decent, but probably will not repurchase as it wasn't a miracle worker for my hair. Smells really nice though. Pryncess, I'm glad I'm not the only one b/c I was starting to think I was crazy.

I also use the Hydrasoft Spritz to "refreshen/remoisten" my hair when I take it down from an updo. It's very moisturizing.

I really don't know my hair type, but these are what I use and I LOVE them all:

SitriNilla Deep conditioning masque - for deep conditioning. This makes my hair soooo soft and moisturized.

Moist condition 24/7 - for co-washes. Makes my hair soft and silky, and virtually no tangles, the tangles just melt away.

Hydrosoft moisturizing spritz and Whipped cream ends hydration - for daily moisture. These keep my hair moisturized and soft. I really do not have to use these everyday, but I choose to.

Whipped gelly and Almond glaze - for keeping my edges smooth, soft, and shiney.

Vatika frosting and Cocasta Shikakai oil - to seal in moisture and to moisturize flat ironed hair.

As you can see, I LOVE these products and I hope that you will enjoy them as much as I do.

:yep: I thought I was going crazy with the Sitrinillah too. I clarified, tried it alone, doctored it up...my hair wasn't having it. I do want to try the AvoSoya and the Hydrasoft on my next order though.

Is Hairveda affiliated with BJ and whipped baggy cream? I ordered some whipped baggy cream to baggy my hair with and it dried my ends something terrible. BJ was really nice(I had a problem with shipping), but this finicky hair just didn't like it...

Yep, BJ is a member here and the owner of Hairveda.

Hairveda makes the whipped baggy cream. I found that I needed to use a much smaller amount of the whipped cream for it to work for me and I prefer it on wet hair instead of dry.

I understand about it not working for you. Some products that people here rave about just don't work for me.

Co-signing on the Cocasta Oil. I love it! It smells divine. I use it for scalp massages and to seal, but mostly for my scalp. It has a castor oil base, so if castor oil is too heavy for you, you won't like it. I've heard the AvoSoya oil is lighter...I have not tried it.

I love Sitrinillah mixed with Vatika Frosting for a DC. Especially after any protein treatment.

Almond Glaze is good for twists, but I usually mix with something else, because like PryncessLana said, I need somehing with a little more hold. I have only tried the Whipped Gelly one time...I don't really wear slicked back styles, so I don't know how much hold it has.

I love the Amala Shampoo and the Amala Cream Rinse. I usually work out 3x a week and I use the Cream Rinse and the Moist 24/7 conditioner to get the salt off my scalp and hair. I shampoo once a week and that's when I use the Amala Shampoo and then follow with my DC.

I give a thumbs up to everything I've tried so far!

Yeah, the Whipped Baggy Cream is not doing anything for my 4b hair. It makes my hair feel wet not moisturized. I do like the Green Tea butter for my hair and skin.

Sitrinillah did not work for me either. :nono: I do love the 24/7 conditioner though.

4a/b Hairveda lover here....

24/7 conditioner is the truth for co-washes for me. The whipped gelly is great for my edges, without being stiff or drying like other gels. I use it on my braids and edges in the morning, tie a scarf down, and take the scarf off when I get to work - it makes my hair texture look like a 3b. Nice.

I like the sitrinillah for dc'ing, but it's not KILLING me. I have yet to find a DC that KILLS me...

the cream rinse is lovely, it really cleans while moisturizing.

The shikakai oil smells too sweet for me - my DD swears by it - I love how it makes my hair feel however. I use it right after co washing when my hair is still wet.

I just got some shealoe in this last black friday sale batch....I am loving it on my skin, not so much for my braids. I love the smell.

I am so happy to have found Hairveda this year, overall it is a big hit for me. :yep:

HV's styling products did not suit well with my hair. I had to give up on the Gelly & Almond Glaze. The Vatika and CoCasta oils are awesome...I much prefer the CoCasta because of the castor oil base it's thicker; it sinks into my hair making it extremely soft, moisturized and with lots of sheen. The AvoSoya oil is simply too light for my hair but it's good to mix with conditioners or use on the skin after a hot shower. The conditioning mask and the 24/7 conditioner are great products too but like the HV styling products, I didn't have much success with the Amala Shampoo.

The Vatika Frosting and Cocasta are my favorite oils. I can use them alone or add it to my conditioners or moisturizers. I thought the Sitrinillah Masque would be thicker. I'm not wowed by it but it does work when I mix it with ORS Replenishing Paks or AO HSR.

I really like mixing the Vatika Frosting in my conditioners. It smells so nice when I sit under my steamer.
