$45!!! On Mon - Wed some shops in Brooklyn are $15 or even $10. I have paid as much as $30 when I had BSL hair but never $45.

demand and supply ..sets the prices. Dont get me wrong, some hairdressers get greedy especially when they had a bad week or month.

If I would get a quote like that id be like oh ok thank you but thats too much for me, have a nice day , smile and get out.

I once had a lady quote me at 25 than when she did my hai she was like um well your hair is long so it willl be 45 , I was like what ??
Did you perm my hair cuz thats the price of a retouch?? She said yes but its a lot of work I clearly told her that I will only pay 25$ and that she confirmed that the blowout price is a fixed price regardless of the lenght.

I really hate dealing with hairdressers and really have a trust issues with them so most of the time I stay away.

oh yeah...

-checks the bus schedule-

but here in VA i paid $25 for mine...now that i'm natchal it might be more, but i haven't been back to know.

I paid $30 today. Its an extra $5 if I get my hair deep conditioned as well.

If she's charging $45 I would want to know if that includes everything or is that the price because of your hair length.

Yes, I'm in NC and Diva's salon...which is BANGING by the way, their blow outs are 45 bucks...but that includes a wash, rollerset, and that good conditioner. She's the only one in the area...at least within 2hours so...I guess Morena can charge that much. But I can't lie she is good at what she does.

Its very cheap in NYC b/c there are about 3 dominican shops per block - lol - but when my BFF lived in Florida, she had to travel like an hour into Miami and pay ALOT more for blow-outs. Just like relaxers are $40/45 in NYC but upwards of $70 in other places. It def depends on where u live.

In NYC I go up on 149th and Amsterdam. it's 22 for a w/s + deep condish and 25 for all that plus a trim and the bobby pins for pin curls.

I think it's 18 base.

If you go to Michelle's on 40th and 6th avenue you'll pay at least 40 bucks including tax.

Before I decided to go natural I was charged $45 amd my hair was shoulder length. It had been about a month since my last relaxer, but the kicker is she had just finished my mom's hair who is natural and only charged her $30. I could have paid $60 for a relaxer from the sylist I had been seeing. From that point on, I said never again.

I think she is trying to pay a past-due light bill or something! That is a lot of money. I pay $25. But then again, I live in Queens. Maybe if they had more competition, their prices would be cheaper.

I live in Queens too .... where do you go? I have paid 40 bucks anytime I get a blow out .. I would love to pay cheaper ... Those hefers take one look at my hair and say 40$ ! lol

if you are not in NYC or an area with many dominican shops ..then yes that quote seems about right.

Right, you can't compare it to NYC where there are Dominican shops on every corner, of course they are not going to charge exorbitant prices here.
For my natural hair, dominicans always charge me $45.00. I live in Atlanta and this has consistently been the price, one Dominican salon even charged me $55.00.
Even in NYC, naturals get charged a little more b/c it takes more effort and work into blowing out a head of natural hair, that coupled w/ the fact that South Carolina has Dominican shops few and far between, that price sounds very reasonable to me.
