if you like wearing your hair out I would just put a track to cover the area that is broken off until it grows in. I would deep condition and treat the hair heavily when it grows in more then trim it to eveness. I know for visual you want your hair to look even, but I just wouldn't chop it off just yet, my crown always breaks off (from stress and thyroid) but it grew back really fast, next thing you know that piece will be apl.
so give that section a chance to grow, if you can get it back to apl where the other strands are then cut.
You did a great job cutting your own hair. If it were me I would do a blunt cut to even things up a little more. But this is not for everyone. Everyone is not comfortable with cutting a lot at one time. You can do a trim everytime you relax until you feel that your hair has evened out. But you have to do what you are comfortable with.
Thank-you Ladies!!!! You have no idea how much I value all of your opinions and the support. I'm blessed to have a place where people will tell it to me straight and give me sound advice that I trust. I will post more pics once I texlax to show results. I hope that there is someone out there that wont make the same mistake I did so i'm totally going to put it out there for all to see. The good the bad and the ugly, LOL.
i like health over length so I would but it to the damaged parts Especially if I planned on wearing it down. But if not, I would just cut it little by little. I used to have the same issues when I had a relaxer. Good luck to you.
