4% MN?

Hi Ladies. Ive heard that 4% MN exists but I dont know where to find it. Currently I use 2% MN everyday but if I can find 4% MN... ITS ON!!

Ive been using it coupled with BT (MN before work and BT before bed everyday) I recently got my hair braided about 2 weeks ago and I think I have about a half an inch but then again it can be slippage :-/ If its not slippage, which Ill know when I take them out in June, then the results are great!!

The 4% is in the new Monistat 3 (I think that's the one ). It will say '4%' on the box.

It will make a difference in the way your scalp feels (mine felt like it was crawling all the time, but I got growth!).

I love MN mixes- I have gotten the most growth from MN so far.

I have found 2% MN alone in a tube (just MN, no Monistat), but I cna't find it in 4% strength.

I've found the 4% miconazole! It's in the target brand(which I use) that has both 2% and 4% in one nifty package. Not a LARGE amount of 4%, but it's something!! I mix the two along with castor oil and nature's blessings. :]

Thanks for the help ladies ill be going to Target to look out for both the Monistat 3 and Target brand.

Anyone else have a sighting of 4% MN??

Does the MN exist on its own, or do I have to buy Monistat or Neosporin AF. I can't find the Neosporin AF anywhere. Where are you guys finding this stuff?

MN does exist on it's own, but I've only been able to find it in 2%.

You can use it right from the tube, but some others here on the board said they experienced dryness from straight Monistat, so they mix it with other things (oils, moisturizers, etc) then apply to the scalp.

You can use brand name or store brands- they all seem to work equally.

I use the straight 2%MN (not Monistat) with JBCO, herb extracts, cinnamon, & cayenne pepper, then apply to the scalp every other night. I start this halfway thru my relaxer cycle (at about 5 weeks post). I stop about a week before relaxer time (about 12 weeks).

I haven't used it in a while (was trying something else) but I will resume this in August. I had great growth with this mix.

Thanks I will add that to my hair care tool kit and see if it works for me. I know that monistat is an antifungal how does that help hair growth?

When I did a search on this, it was stated (I forget the website) that there was 'something' in the miconizole nitrate that caused hair to grow.

It was also stated that more ppl have some type of fungal problem (some dandruff isn't dandruff- it's a fungal problem) on their scalp than we realize, which in some cases can cause hair to 'fall out' or thin. Because MN is an antifungal, this rids the scalp of the fungal problem, then allows hair to grow, making hair fuller.

(This was some of my problem, as well as hereditary).

At any rate, for me, the stuff works!
