Question:

So I'm trying to do my own personal "Hide Your Hair" challenge and would like to do it by using a coiled out phony pony. The problem is that the majority of my hair could make a small pony tail, but my sides and front are still too short. What should I do with that hair? Hide it with scarves? Bobby pin them down? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Danigurl, your hair looks great! I so would love to have your natural color.

My hair's been doing well...it's growing, it's healthy...and I did my first set of twists that I might be able to wear out the house, lol! Took me FOREVER to do them, but they were the best I've ever done! Here they are (sorry the pictures are so damn big)!

Informally have joined the "Buy Nothing Until January 2009" challenge because I'm moving and I already have a bunch of stuff I have to get through anyways. I'm well out of the TWA phase and into a TA phase...hopefully in a few months I'll have a BAA. What's everyone else up to? LHD, I know your hair's growing like a weed!

Alright TWA girls! Last push before the year is up! Let's do one final roll call before we start a new 2009 thread! Who's still in, how are you doing so far, and where do you hope to be before the end of the year (which is quickly approaching)?

I'll start I BC'd at the end of March after a 3 month transition and I can proudly say that based on LongHairDream's classifications, I went from a TWA to a TA. I was about to do my first half ponytail last week (with the assistance of some bobby pins). My goal is to have the front of my hair reach the tip of my nose (stretched) by the end of the year...i have about another half an inch to goerplexed Fingers crossed!

I feel you! I was hoping to be out of this challenge by the end of the year, but it looks like I'll be here until at least the beginning of 2009. It's growing though!

I'm still in...I BC'd on Sept 12...had a major trim October 31 (got rid of my scab hair)...so I'm shorter than I was when I BC'd...but its growing!

i want my bangs to at least touch the tip of my nose by december i have a little over an inch to go and my nose is kinda pointy so
but the back of my hair is sl i got a puff that looks like a pony in my siggy

i'm still in. i hope i can get an inch by the end of Dec. i would like to be 3/4 inches by Feb. right now i'm 2 inches on top and 1.5 inches sides and back. i want 6 inches by the end of April/May. that will give me a really good start for the rest of 09.
