hey ladies..does anyone have the sept issue of Cosmo? inside the magazine on page 134 it discussed Viviscal. it claims to make your hair grow like crazy...."18 inches in one year" , 1.5 inches per month .......Has anyone tried this? it is composed of some type of fish proteins...i'm skeptical but who knows????????

By the looks of your avatar, I'd say you don't need it! LOL!! Wow your hair is thick!

I tried it for 6 months. Didn't see any significant growth. Maybe I should have used it longer. It has worked very well for many others.
 
Years ago when this board was first created Viviscal was all the rage!
Women were running to buy this stuff. Threads were 100-200 deep with conversations pertaining to Viviscal.

From what I remember, some of the members here that purchased it didn't have GREAT results from Viviscal. I never purchased it because, if you are allergic to SELLFISH/seafood it was advised for you NOT to take it because of the marine protein which is the main ingredient.

Viviscal has been around for many years. Apparently, it does work for some people...after using it consistently for 6-8 months, then maintenance. It can get a little pricey (about $50/month, then $25/month for maintenance).

I don't know about 18 inches per year (really does sound too good to be true--atypical certainly). But I think some people will see accelerated growth to some degree...then again, some poeple will not see any additional growth.

I used it myself years ago after reading a small mention of it in an old Cosmo article (about some model that had good results from using it--something about "Hair Force One", I think). I maybe only got an additional .25 inches more growth growth per month after 6 months or so. :ohwell: I was a student at the time and could no longer afford Viviscal after about 8 months. Maybe I could have gotten more growth after that, but I haven't really used it consistently since. I might, but I have a hard enough time remembering to take my daily vitamins :lol: and Viviscal takes committment especially when results won't be apparent for months, if at all.

I have been taking Viviscal for over three months now and I am loving the results.:grin: My hair use to be very dry and brittle, now it is holding oil and moisture :D My nail are growing at an increasing rate also. I will continue to take this product to see how much growth I will get. I will continue to update everyone on my progress. It has been four weeks since my braids were in and I have about 1 inch on new growth. This is extremely a lot for me within a months time. I would recommend this product.

I wounder if I could see 18 inches in 1 year :shocked:

London Diva did a vivisical challenge she was quite successful:yep: Look her up. She has beautiful thick long hair I think her challenge has tons of info..Sorry I don't know how to post the search results.

If the fish protein or whatever is what makes up the majority of the product, can't you just use that throw in some vitamin supplements and call it a day?
 
I think someone already bumped up one of the old threads, but I do remeber alot of people getting pretty good growth; of course none with 18 inches in a year though, lol. Most people say it sped up their growth, but the price was the killer. Its a little cheaper now than it was back then, but its still pretty expensive. If I knew for sure I would get an inch per month on it, I'd make some budget adjustments and purchase though.
 
I tried it years ago and I got a great growth spurt but it was too expensive then. The price has come down a bit and I found it for 47.95 and they will send it to u on a monthly basis..like a subscription of viviscal and u can cancel after the second order if you aren't satisfied. I'm taking it but unfortunately, I'm not very consistent. I usually take the first dose and forget the 2nd one. Which reminds me, time to take my vits. :ohwell:
 
I finally bought it again. Just got it today. Amazon has them for about $34 which is cheaper than my Phytophanere but I'm going to try them for than 6 months. Consistency is key!

Keep us updated on how it goes! I'm contemplating adding Shen Min to my prenatal and Andrew Lessman Routine, but if I hear of good results w/ this I may have to consider it.
 
Years ago i tried it with no significant growth to make me continue. I get pretty good, quick, verifiable results from using Ultra Hair. It's amazing though, After 6 weeks or so I'm tired of popping pills.Six month? My hair better grow like a chia pet.
