I also STOPPED cutting 1/2 a month...just going to grow out and trim regularly to see some length,
Keeping Curls w/Heat Product Review:
Pantene Heat Shield (up to 450 degrees)
Welp, this claims to use heat-activated oil (jojoba), which is listed as the 8th ingredient, but as a Pantene conditioner lover I decided to bite. As I suspected, the conditioner detangled my hair a made it silky to the touch immediately!
Overall I give it a 3.5 of 5. Why? I wanted the oil listed at least as the 4th ingredient, but it is a shampoo first, so I figured combined with pure Grape seed oil (natural heat protectant to 450 degrees) as a leave-In it would make a nice pairing for my blow dry & flat iron session. I use heat under 375 degrees.
Although Jojoba is most like sebum, but grape seed oil has a very high smoke point. Coconut oil only goes to 350 so if your iron is hotter you can "fry" your hair.
