At least at my house it will be!!! I plan on clarifying my hair, then henna, then indigo, then deep condition. It will probably take all day since the henna has to sit at least 3-4 hours and the indigo for 45 mins to an hour. The DC will be no less than 2 hours under a bonnet dryer of course. I'm going to apply Noodle Head and Sweet Almond Oil to each section and then I'm going to braid my hair in small sections all the way back and roll the ends and let it air dry. When I take it down on Sunday for church I'm going to try my first updo [pray for me!!] Hopefully it will turn out cute because if not I'm stuck with it for church and you know some church people can be vicious!!! [jk]:lachen: If I don't look too crazy I'll post pictures and let Ladies be the judge!! Thanks for reading!

Good luck on your henna and indigo applications.

What's your henna recipe?

Looking forward to seeing the pics!

Thanks!!! It's super simple. I mix up a big batch of henna with Suave coconut conditioner and 100% orange juice [you know until the henna looks like yogurt]. Let it sit over night to release. Put it in a huge squeeze bottle that I got from the $$ store and then I freeze it until I need it. When I get home tonight I'll take it out of the freezer and let it sit on the counter until tomorrow morning and use it. What I don't use on this application I re-freeze for the next time. It saves me alot of time so whenever I need to henna [which seems to be coming around more frequently than I care to admit] it's always ready and I just go for it!!:yep: The indigo I just mix with hot water when I'm ready to apply it after the henna. HTH!!

THANKS BUTTON!

So, you don't add salt to your indigo? And your grays are well-covered?

SUPER!

Oh yes Honey those grays are covered if not I would have salt and pepper hair [mostly salt!!!] I've been doing it like this for years and have had no problems!!! At one time my gray was turning red but then I figured out what was wrong . . . I had gotten lazy and was not clarifying my hair "before" I hennaed. I was just using any shampoo I wanted to and it wasn't getting my hair cleaned/clarified enough for the henna. When I started to clarify my hair again it went back to it's natural black color. HTH!!
