10 en 1 Rinse vs. Super Conditioner

I posted something on this a few weeks ago b/c I had confused the Rinse and the Super Conditioner. I used the Super Rinse and I love it! I may purchase the Super Conditioner after I'm done with the Rinse, but one of the two products will remain a staple in my regimen.

Rinses are meant to be detanglers.

The super conditioner is thick like an egg custard, but it melts onto your hair.

The super conditioner is thick and smells like liquor to me, but that stuff leaves my hair so soft. Between that and Giovanni, my hair can only get better from here.

While I was at the BSS purchasing the Domincan products I realized that they only had conditioner rinses instead of regular conditioners but I guess this is what they use as their regular conditioner or they use the super conditioner as a deep conditioner and then follow up with the rinse as a regular conditioner to soften and detangle the hair.

Well from my understanding the rinse is more like a regular conditioner (instant conditioner) but it is used mostly to soften the hair, making it easier to comb. Many times after a shampoo and conditioner, the hair tangles very badly so the rinse should be used after you wash out the regular conditioner mainly for detangling purposes. It works instantly, and it coats the hair, which is why it should be rinsed very well.

The super conditioner is more like a deep conditioner that you use with heat or without heat (10-35 minutes). It goes deep into the cortex layer of the hair shaft to restore vital proteins. While the non-penetrating conditioner (rinse) only coats the cuticle layer of the hair with a microfilm coating.

I am not sure if I am right or wrong. so hopeful the ladies will chime in with their input.

Oooo thanks! I just posted in the other thread that I had no idea of the difference between the rinses and conditioners. I have a deep conditioner mix with both rinses and conditioner.

what does the 10 en 1 rinse smell like? what does the super conditioner smell like?
I love how the Rinse smells...I can't quite describe it, but it's one of my favorite hair product scents. I don't think I like the idea that the Super Conditioner smells like liquor....

someone once told me that the super conditioner smelled like peach.

still interested in knowing what the rinse smells like...if it smells as good as the super conditioner then i will definately have to try it.

LOL well I'll go sniff mine in a little bit and see if I can describe it better for you.

Glad to hear that it doesn't smell like rum, or vodka or any of that. Don't they have the same ingredients for the most part? Maybe they smell similar.

I smelled it again last night and that was the first thing I thought. A fruity, candy smell.

Cookie, I thought you wanted to know what the rinse smelled like, my bad.

I used the rinse and never bought it again. It's supposed to detangle, which it didn't do for me. My V05 detangles better. I didn't try using it as a deep conditioner.

But, lets not blame the 10 en 1.... it's probably because I have some NAPPY hair

The ingredients are similar, but not exactly the same.

to me it smells like fresh fruit from the market..very fresh smelling..i think i dont put enough oil in my hair after i condition so i dont notice it working..but it smells sooooo good- both the rinse and the super conditioner..i think the super conditioner smells a bit more chemically..hehehe.. but still that fresh fruit scent!

Does it say add oil?, or you just don't moisturize enough overall  . Think it works different on relaxed or natural hair??
