I had just gotten into flat twist outs when I decided to chop earlier this week. This is my first attempt since the chop - at first I was mad that I looked like a poodle, but it's growing on me.

I used a fine tooth comb (to part)
mister bottle with plain water
detangling comb
ORS moisturizing lotion
100% aloe vera gel
D4 Denman Brush

I did the ends in little bantu knots. Now that I'm natural I don't even need anything to hold them.:yay:

And for you make -up fiends - I used L'Oreal Matte Duo in "Dashing" today (along with a few other things)

What direction did you twist them?
Was your hair dry?

I first parted my hair from ear to ear and put the back section away.

I spritzed dry hair with the water until it felt "spongey" but not dripping. Added my moisturizer/aloe vera and detangled.

Then I put a part down the middle of the top/front section, and did 3 flat twists down toward my chin on each side. Then I separated the back section into 4, and twisted straight back/down. Hope that makes sense.

I was  over your BC pics and love these pics too. You look great with natural hair.

I feel like everything looks so much better now.

I went shopping the other day, and every single thing I tried on fit and looked awesome. :yep:

I did kind of feel like the live action version of "70's Barbie plays dress up" though. I was wearing a BAA and giant gold woven hoops. :lachen:

Your hair came out really cute. How long did you keep in the twist? I am working on my bantu knot twist out.

I LOVE it! When you BC'd, I commented about being curious to see how your twistouts and braidouts would turn out. I knew they'd look good!

Beautiful!!!
