I live in NJ. The Humidity can be beastly at times! I know you've got a story or an example too. Lets show it. (I LOVE Pics)
Yesterday I left with one style. (A nicely formed braidout) Returned at the end of the day with
Sideshow Bob Frozilla hair.:afropick:

you ain't lying. :yep:The last time I was at a convention in TX I wanted to scream.:wallbash: I had apl relaxed hair. I would curl it up all nice, by the time I walked from the hotel to my car My hair would be flat, no curl not even a wave.:sad: It didn't matter what I used on it! TX got some serious humidity:blush:
 
Got to love humidity. I don't have any pictures, but I do love your before and after. lol.

i will go rooting through my photos of last year, before i started using Sabino MB when i flat iron. i have some that i never posted, i think i saved them though...

***ETA - okay, remember my vid from May 2008 when i got my layers reshaped? my stylist used Redken products i think. no Sabino in my life yet. so here are 2 pics i took right when i got home:

i wore my hair down the next day when it was hot and humid as all get-out. i don't remember how long i was out and about that day, but this is what i ended up with:

I remember those days! Fantasia IC hair polisher gel fixed that right up for me!
 
Lol, this thread made me laugh because I'm sitting here now with what feels like a foot of hair sticking out of each side of my head, lol. I'm getting ready to do a wash n' go....there's no point to me doing a twist n' curl in this humidity.
 
Mook, I am from where you live. It wasn't until I turned 18 and moved away to go to college that I realized that my hair didn't really need to have that "halo" I had been wearing all those years... lol!
 
Here is Georgia weather for ya, I did a lovely Curlformer set.
I didn't take a picture immediately after I took them out but at least I have the result of 1 hour post after going to Wal Mart.

MIssNorway, I think your "after" picture is beautiful! But I like big hair.

My hair poofed up quite badly a few weeks ago at my granddaughter's birthday party. The LAST thing on my mind was to take a damn picture LOL

Your after is gorgeous but I like Afros and big hair.

This is a good thread. But it shows my exact reasons for not wanting to straighten my hair this summer. Im too afraid. This humidity in Georgia is a beast! I would be sooo upset after putting in all that work on MY head and it POOFS up. :wallbash:

I wish I had seen this thread sooner, because then I could have taken some before and after pictures today! :lachen:

I had done a very nice braid-out this morning ,and was looking so cute and chic with my braidout and a scarf head-band around my head. By noon, my little "braid-out" was looking more like an lion's mane! And not a well-kept one either! :lol:

I had to pin my hair up because since I have fine hair, the ends looked really fly-away and frizzy. :(

But this thread is a good one because I don't feel so bad! I thought humidity only reared it's ugly head on ME personally. I'm RELAXED and I STILL get jacked up when the humidity is high. :nono:

At least now I know that we're not "perfect" and that even though our hair may look on point in our fotki albums, this thread is showing the whole TRUTH! :lol:

I went to Thanksgiving dinner looking like this:

The next morning I got up for after Thanksgiving sales. While I was out, I saw some little teenyboppers in the store laughing and pointing at me. I thought they were just hatin' but when I got home and looked in the mirror, I knew why:blush:--- I had a big blow-out!

Thanks, I just LOVE you and your hair. It's weird cuz I lurked for a long time and I feel like I know some people...You're one of my fantasy friends:look:. I mean that in a good, clean, family-fun way!


Yeah, my stupid coupon worked one day--even with the lhcf discount no less--and I left the window up 'cuz my indecisive self couldn't decide how many bottles I wanted. Well, my stinkturd hubby came home and closed my window and I forgot about it until the next day and now nothing works!:wallbash:
Annoying.
