mop c-system hydrating shampoo - however, it does not remove cones. so i'm currently looking for another good moisturizing shampoo that is low or sulfate free.

does this remove silicones? also, how does it make your scalp feel? one more thing... how do you mix it... what is the ratio? do you add water? tia.

Hey Sandy!!!

Yup - Castile removes silicones, as far as what I use.... ( Sabino MB washed out just fine) -It's Soap. So - it does a great job - but it aint SLS....I have not used Shampoo in a really really long time now - maybe 3 years.( since Jan 2006)

I also don't have a Silicone Soup on my head. I don't use those products until I flat iron my hair... So I can get away will using indian powders and the like.....All my other procuts do not have any silicones in them.

I have a recipe somewhere....If I don't make shampoo,

I just dilute 1 oz of Castile in 7 oz of distilled water, and an 1/2 ounce of oil and EO's.. Whichever oil I like. Put in a 16 oz tint bottle... and there ya go. Shampoo.

I bought a GALLON of Castile. I wil probably have it for 2 years. Saves me loads on All the commercial stuff.

Baking Soda is my clarifier.

JASON natural biotin shampoo (lauryl sulfate & paraben free....and I like the smell).

Oh, and Garnier Fructis Anti-Dandruff shampoo-n-conditioner in one. It's full of chems, but hey! It does the job.

Yes - Dear, I do.
I usually do my baking soda Separate form my Shampoo. I have never mixed them, but I suppose you could.
I layer them.

When it is time to Clarify...

1. Use Baking Soda in a Tint Bottle ( 1 tbs to 16 oz of water) - Get my scalp, and squitr my hair....
2. Then use Shampoo

Sometimes - I don't use shampoo and I use Indian powders to cleanse.

OOPS! Fotki.... Sorry - I will post it - Computer is acting up...

sandy,

have you tried Neutrogena's cream lather shampoo? It is low sulfate, IIRC, and it is moisturizing imho.

ALL redken shampoos are AMAZING! my favorite is the redken smooth down.

but i guess my favorite is a shikakai shampoo bar. cleans really well.
