Come on let's be forreal. Thats not necessarily true. Some hair stypes are prone to frizz. Pokahontas is a type 3b/c. Mandy is a 4B. She is not going to get a sleek rollerset like a type 3. Maybe not even with heat. You have to work with your texture.
Hey glamazon, I agree that a 4b rollerset would not come out as sleek as a 3b/c, but it can get pretty sleek. I say this because when I was natural years back, I could get my hair pretty sleek with roller sets, to a point that no one believed that I was natural. Maybe sleek is the wrong word, smooth might be a better word in this case.

Probably. But there will still be some texture/kink to the hair. I just made that comment to show that all naturals are not equal. People always throw 3's up in the mix like so and so can do this with their hair and 4s may not be able to do that. Or we may have to find another way to achieve the same thing. Neither one is better or worse just different like apples and oranges. My hair certainly doesn't get relaxer smooth on rollers. It does smooth out pretty good but it's not sleek. And I HAVE to use heat. If I airdry it, it's a frizzy fuzzy mess. And even after rollersetting and sitting under the dryer I'd still have to flat iron to get straight hair. Most type 4's rollerset to straighten the hair some (and cut down on heat) before flat ironing. It's not like they're rollersetting to wear it as a style like a relaxed head would.

Yeah, you are right, every head is different and 4b normally does not get relaxer sleek. So smooth is more like it.

I think your hair is really cute! :yep:

Love your texture---and that headband!~!

I think your rollerset is soft and pretty. But if you don't like it, nothing anyone can say can make you see it.
