Okay, so my progress can be attributed to a multitude of ladies on this forum. Over the past year, I have found that I seek out certain sistas for advice or search for their threads on particular hair care issues.

Off the top of my head:

  1. SamanthaJones - Hair steaming, really good hair moisturizing tips
  2. Quethesh - Her hair washing technique for natural hair has SAVED my hair from tangling and breaking off
  3. SouthernTease - My creative hair stylist.
  4. Irristeble - Pressing Wet hair? You bet. Awesome awesome technique. I have so gone back to old school hair care because of her. Love her use of Pressing Combs (I had totally forgotten about them!) :(
  5. Pinkskates - Anything you wanna know about Pressing Combs. I have so gone back to old school hair care because of this fab woman
  6. Pokahantas - This woman can find so many awesome products in Walmart!
  7. Lavendar - This sis has so much common sense when it comes to hair care. Her responses are always on point.
Join me in adding to the list ladies and bookmark it for future reference!!!:yep:

I have to shout out my girl Tee!
Her hair and my hair like EXACTLY the same products. She's my hair twin in every sense of the word (except my hair want's to be as long as hers when it grows up!) I love her fotki and stalk it on the regular! Plus she's such a cool person. I just wish my hair grew like her's.
LOVE YOU TEE!

MaCherieAmour - Thanks to her I can now do rollersets!
Sylver2 - I got products, stretching motivation and more motivation from her fotki.
SamanthaJones - Keeps me sane, going back YEARS. :lachen:
LittleGoldLamb - Awesome product reviews
SistaSlick - Her relaxing and moisture/protein balance articles keep my from being bald

Gymfreak, SistaSlick and Macherie.... Do I even need to explain? :D

JusKiya:: So resourceful and loves researching ingredients.
Shimmie: Very supportive and taught me a homemade garlic concoction that saved money and stopped shedding
Aggie: Very helpful when i first started my regimen. She also has many receipes for the hair!!

Oooh I am slapping my face for missing MissKiya! She's brilliant for posting the BS, Salt, Vinegar solution. Wow, it's part of my regiment now!!!

Gymfreak (for the science), SistaSlick (for the science), MahaliaLee (for the historical info), SamanthaJones (for the steam), Cichelle (for the inspiration), VWVixxen (for the MT), Sareca (for the MT).

And that's just off of the top of my head (cuz I know I've omitted so many names!) - I can't even begin to remember all of the ladies who have encouraged me to become my own best hair expert. ;)

Gymfreak (all day)
Traycee and Cherokee give me loads of bun ideas
JustKiya

I learned a lot from Sylver2, Kinikakes and Sistaslick when I first started.

SamanthaJones67: For showing me that you don't actually need commercial products for your hair.

Naturalgurl: Same as SJ. And, for trying out all kinds of stuff that I'm way too lazy to try.

They both really inspired me to get rid of all my commercial products and go down the natural product path.

Irrisistable, JustKiya, Sisterslick, Cichelle, Sareca, LaNecia(formerly known as VwVixxen),

there are others, I just can't think of all of their names (adw, cmw?) and more- my hair twins know who they are because I have questioned them over and over. Many thanks to them.

SARECA
AGGIE
JUST KIYA
HENNA SOOQ
IRRESISTIBLE
LAVENDER
NICE & WAVY
SHIMMIE

I'm sure there's someone I'm leaving out.

I'm gonna say Traycee bc me and her hair are pretty much twins. I love her style of buns and other hairstyles and i love how she keeps everything simple and she's really sweet.

I'm also gonna have to say SweetCashew.....might be a throwback..but her hair inspires me as well.

Supergirl- She has been on the forum longer than I have. Her hair always looks pretty and she offers the best advice. She's also knowledgable on health, nutrition, and length retention.

Sylver2 - stretching & scarf method
pinkskates- pressing
gymfreak- science
marcheriemour- rollersetting

Dlewis for her buns and flexi-rod tutorial and let me not forget her food.....

Sylver2 -just for showing that lovely, long head of hair:yep:

Pokahontas - helped me when I first started my hair journey on Hair Boutique and later on here...she is my inspiration to become natural!

Gymfreak - cause she knows how to drop the Science:lachen:...go girl!

JustKiya - the concoction genius! That salt mix is the best eva!!!

There are many others...I love ya'll!

Sareca- for oil rinses

Chocokitty(sp) - for yogurt, banana, and honey dc's

My hair would never be right without these two techniques!

Sistaslick and Gymfreak. Whenever I read their posts I pay close attention b/c I know they are telling the truth.

They both know a lot about the chemical makeup of the hair strand/hair products and do great jobs of what really happens to the hair when you do x, y and z.

I think I re-read Sistaslick's ac relaxed hair articles almost every time b/f I self relax.

Pokahontas - our hair is similar, so I pretty much do anything she says.

I do her "cheat" rollerset (putting hair into one big ponytail, then setting the ends on big rollers) every week :yep:.
