I recently made the decision to transition, I'm trying to transition "silently" so will use braids, buns and many trims. But then I have a friend who said "don't cheat, chop it all off and start fresh"... so I don't know.

Come on DG! :lachen: Girl, my ends were looking rough! They were not split, but they were thin as all get out. Plus, I hadn't had a trim since December and I figured since she had the scissors, why just do 1 inch when she could do 2 inches. :look:

I'm still on the transitioning bus though... I guess y'all gonna make me move to the back of the bus now though, huh?:spinning:
 
I'm going on 9 or 10 months without a BC. Don't know how much longer I can go but I'l try. :yep:

YES, you are still a transitioner. and YES, those ends do be looking mal-nutrition. i was just :shocked: that you cut so much. it looks great though. so go'on a wave your hand...if you ain't choppin that is :look:
 
Okay I'm waving. Gonna hold out on BC. I got some kinky twist in today (which i hate) just to make sure I don't do something that I will regret.

Mook's hair, SouthernTease and loulou82 are three transitioners that are doing a great job.
 
Me--Im still holding on. lol I haven't even been holding on long since i just started transitioning, but I feel like I worked hard for this bit of length even if I do have different textures--I aint cuttin nothin anytime soon.
 
Waving....I'm not chopping. I've been transitioning since March....

I did take a survey from my family because I felt like chopping a few weeks ago. My dad said you don't have to do a "chop chop" ...just cut it off as it grows. LOL I thought "chop chop" was funny.

I am getting micros in July to get my mind off of my hair. My hair is already short anyway, but I am not ready for tha BC yet.
 
Partially holding up hand...the bug hasn't bit me yet, but I can admit it keeps flying in my face..tired of swatting it away.:grin:

:padlock2: I got this transitioning thing on lock. NO BIG CHOP FOR ME! My hair is the longest its ever been and I am so close to my goal I can feel it.
 
:wave: I'm not chopping for a while. I think i'm about 14months post and i dont think i will be chopping until at least a year from now. I may trim my hair for health reasons but no more than an inch at a time. I'm in it for the long haul :drunk:
 
No chopping, no chopping {what if I decide relaxing is better for me?}..surely easy to say at 14 weeks post touch-up but I'm cornrowed now; not dealing with the hair except moisture/condition/oil/wig. I'm going to do my best to gradually deal with it-minor trims each month.
 
I feel you DG............lately, after washing, I'm like, well I could.........


Then reality snaps :grin: I'd rather regret not chopping sooner, than regret not waiting longer to chop.
 
I was just about to post this. Every time I look, another one has 'bite the dust' :lachen:! I'm almost 2 years strong without a relaxer, and I still refuse to chop. :lachen::lachen:...there is no way.:nono::nono:
