So . I relaxed this weekend with ORS No Lye - Love this relaxer

Well after relaxing and airdrying and flatironing

I realized that my hair feels and looks the best after using ORS products ..

So I had a derrr moment and realized I should be using these ... The only thing different I did was use Olive Oil in my hair along with the products and oh yea did an ACV rinse after my protein and before neutralizing.

Then I also realized that I put too much pressure on myself in regards to length and decided that Im not doing any more measuring until my initial goal date of April 27th 2008.

So here are some pics from this weekend ...

New Growth

beautiful head of hair atop that head of yours:)

I onced used ORS no-lye and at first it was great but the kit doesn't come with a pre-relaxer treatment:nono: and I had some major breakage because I overlapped to the already relaxed part. So from here on out I can only use a relaxer that has the pre treatment in it to help prevent this. But I am glad that it worked for you:yep:! Cheers to you:)

Congrats on finding your staples and postponing your length checks. :flowers:Your hair looks awesome!

I've also decided to stop checking for growth. From now I'm only length checking when I touch-up. :ohwell:

I cause myself so much stress looking for length LOL

But ORS does great by me.. I LOVE the Aloe Shampoo and the replenishing Pak ..

Yeah I figure if I dont measure until my birthday

I will be very excited when I do it.

I mean its 6 months from now, If im not brastrap by then Im cutting my hair into a bob LOL

Hi, Khandi! Your hair turned out beautiful!:yep: Congrats on finding your staple products. Even though this is LHCF, we've gotta get our hair healthy first. Id rather have ny hair thick and healthy as opposed to long and unhealthy.

That's exactly my logic! It's really hard to get excited about 1 inch of change between checks. It's good and all, but it can be excruciating when you're trying to reach a new milestone. I'm much happier with my length and my hair when I delay checking.
I have no doubt you'll be BSL by then. :fairy:

Your hair turned out nice. I know your happy figured out best relaxer for you. I am still tweaking my regimen for what works best so for Keracare products winning.

Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE the results after your relaxer! ORS products are awesome and I'm glad you found something that works for your hair.

Your hair is beautiful. Nice and shiny. don't worry about the waves. mine does the same too. Keep up the good work.

You're hair is beautiful!!! Don't be so hard on yourself. You have reached some tremendous length goals! There are those of us who are constantly battling to get to even shoulder length and would kill to be where you are. I'm so glad you found your staple products. Keep it up, girl. Really beautiful pics.

P.S. My hair is always wavy in those same areas too. It didn't used to be that way but now it is. hmmmmm?

Thanks everybody!!!

Yeah I was happy with how my hair turned out, so Im gonna just keep it simple!

Nooooooooooooo! Don't even joke about cutting that pretty hair. It came out so nice. You'll be @ your goal in no time.

@InnerSoul-if you really like the relaxer you can just pretreat your hair with something else. You can apply silk amino acids to your relaxed hair and the new growth which helps in preventing overprocessing or try the Mizani honey shield for the relaxed portion.

LOL.. Im just saying that because if in 6 months my hair hasnt grown 1 1/2 - 2 inches then there is a problem ... LOL

I probably wont ..

I mean I use heat like once or twice a month ...

Im doing good. Still need to work on the moisture part .. daily moisture..

any idea's? I do have the ORS moisturizer that comes in the relaxer LOL

Okay Good:grin:

Well, I know frequent dc'ing helps to keep your moisture levels up. You're already hipped to the ORS replenishing paks right? Choosing the right daily moisture products depends on how you wear your hair I think. For a straight style, at night before you wrap it up, a dime size amount of either the Proline lite creme moisturizer or the peach colored Profectiv stuff(sorry:grin:) makes for a silky comb out the next morning.

Thanks I also heard that Vitapointe was the truth!

So I just got measured. I have approx 6 inches to get to waist length ... :woot:

1 1/2 - 2 to full brastrap
3 - 4 inches to midback

This is of course if everythin in the hair world went perfect for me in the next year LOL

Very pretty Khandi. I'm like you know. I will wait for length. I want it to be cute and healthy first. I'm also thinking about cutting my hair into a bob but DH might ask for a divorce LOL.

Your hair looks shiny & healthy. I've just recently found my 'holy grail' products as well, doesn't it feel great!

Your hair looks good and grows nicely to me, I see a difference form your last trim, but I do agree not checking for length is a great reward in the end .

Your hair looks wonderful Khandi! I'm always in awe how you and so many others can relax your own hair. Your hair looks like you just stepped out of a salon.:yep::yep:

I know what you mean about checking your length so often. I also decided not to check every month. My last length check was in August and I'm not checking again until December.

Well you're definitely doing a great job!
