Moisture Showdown! NTM vs. Hello Hydration

I love me some NTM shampoo and daily conditioner, but I really wanna try HH. Which is better at hydrating and softening your hair?

Not sure if you mean the conditioners or the poos. I haven't tried HH poo but the conditioner is cool. I use it in my henna mix.
However, I voted for NTM. Both the poo and conditioner are very moisturizing.

I just used Hello hydration samples 3 secs ago. I didnt like the shampoo. . But im in love with the conditioner. . . instant soft ness. I tried the ntm mask Anti frizz crem and silk touch they do nothing for me fa real.

Hello Hydration was OK also, but I had to doctor it up with EVOO

ITA. I gave my NTM con away. It didn't do anything for me-will not repurchase, The HH was a lot better. You can also get free samples to try before you buy if you go to their website.

Have to cosign this entire statement. BUT-since I have a huge bottle of it, I just use it before or mix it with other poos and call it clarifying

Ooops!-just noticed she critiqued the con whereas I actually used the poo. Still horrible, hair felt stripped but it has a yummy smell, which is one reason I bought it.

I honestly don't know where I would be without HE Hello Hydration. The smell is strong but beautiful. I love the slip the conditioner gives me, but that shampoo broke off my hair.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture - Yuck! Did nothing for me.

I want to try Tresemme but I'm scared I'm not gonna like it and that stuff only comes in GINORMOUS bottles.

I just use conditioners but have found that nothing is as soft and hydrating as hello hydration for my natural hair. I even use it now for my weekly washes with my braids and instantly my hair is soft and rejuvenated. I haven't used NTM before so of course I voted for HH

Now Hello Hydration---tried the conditioner the first time and loved it ! Immediately went back and bought another one of the largest size they had since I was co-washing my hair almost everyday back then. Well after about a week of using HH I noticed my hair was becoming soooooo dry. It took a while to get the moisture balance back right in my hair. I stopped using HH conditioner and figured that was the problem.

I have seen the HH shampoo in a few fotki albums. I may have to try the shampoo but I will not try the conditioner again --maybe if they reformulate it---maybe.

For me neither. NTM mask made a hard tangled mess. The leave in doesn't give me any lasting moisture. The "goodbye hydration" shampoo was hardening and stripping. I hate when products leave you worse off than when you started. I may try the conditioner for cowashes after I finish my personal use it up challenge. It does smell really good and has coconut milk.

the NTM daily shampoo and con for dandruff (tubes look the same but the lettering and tubes are green) were the only dandruff combo that got rid of my flakes AND moisturized my hair. I love the reg stuff too.

I haven't tried Hello Hydration, but I've always had an issue with Herbal Essences and build up. They tend to coat the hair so you have to clarify often or you hair will dry out.

if i had to choose between NTM and HE's Hello Hydration, Id pick HE: Break's Over. had a nice amount of slip, smelled even BETTER than hello hydration, and moisturizes much better than HH.

with NTM, the slip is AMAZING, but once the product is rinsed out, the slip rinses out too.

NTM is wonderful in my hair. Hello Hydration is used as a pre-poo because I am trying to get rid of the stuff. I would not buy it again.

Hated Hello Hydration! I said it should be called Hello Desert Wasteland. The shampoo is drying and the conditioner isn't much better. And that's the truth.

I thought no drug store conditioner would ever dethrone my NTM until I tried HH. I LOVE HH. It is really moisterizing my ng. I bought 40 ounces of it at Sam's Club for 6.88.

Doesn't Herbal Essence have cones in it? That could be why people are experiencing dry hair.

Aaaaw, I made this thread when I was just a wittle newbie

I've tried both since I made this thread and NTM wins hands down! HH was garbage on my hair and dried it out something viscous!

From a lot of observation, I've noticed that HH works for ladies with fine hair. If you have thicker hair, it'll be a disaster. I'm sure there are a few exceptions But for the most part, if you have thick hair, stay away from Hello Hydration!

I use both. However, I have to alternate because like some other's have posted NTM's benefits gradually begin to fade, and HH starts to dry the hair out. When I was transitioning I mixed the two as a prepoo, and it was amazing. Right now I'd have to cast my vote for NTM though

I LOVE HE HH. Nothing has given me better moisture and slip. To combat the drying issue, I simply use a shikkai/amla shampoo bar twice a week.

I've since tried the HH condish and it's awesome for co-washes. And even for leaving a lil bit in as a leave-in. Love the coconuty smell too.
