Are these really wigs? They look so natural! I might reconsider my locs if these are legit. :yep:

MrsMe Do you mean that you will loc your hair and a wear a wig as they grow out???

I really want one of these. I recently came into a little money and I was originally going to buy some shoes with the extra money left over but I think I might actually get one of these wigs instead. Oh the decisions!

 I actually did that for a week when I started my locs. My hair was an itchy mess
I meant to say that knowing myself, I will eventually cut them and might start wearing wigs. When I do, it seems like I will go for this brand. :yep:

Oooo. I never wore a wig before... Ever... But I like! I would get a u part though and leave some hair out because I am beyond OCD about having it look real. It looks so nice, but did they sew a lot of hair forward on one side ( like when some girls do a closure and have that side swoop effect?

And what do you think about the color? Did the color look like what you expected?

Am I the only one who still finds the word "wig" a lil scandalous.

I want to get a u-part next time. And it's not an excessive amount that they sewed on one side, but i think it is enough for a swoop effect- I'm at work right now so I can't experiment too much right now and haven't really experimented too much with it yet- i'll probably save that for the weekend.

The color is perfect, I got a 1b and well it looks like a 1b lol. My co-workers seem to really like it too. One thing I will say about the hair though is that it's not silky straight...more like kinky straight. So it's a little puffy. I'm sure if you put a bit of product in it and wrap it you can make it a bit flatter. But I kind of like the puffiness. I'm used to ordering natural perm straight 50% italian mink from hisandher.com So it's a little different. But I like it!

^^ No matting or tangling yet. I had 2 shed hairs stuck together when I first put it on but nothing since.

I can't resist the Bobby wig. I had some paypal bucks that I've been saving for such an occassion... lol

I hope I have it in time for the Christmas party! I'll take pics.

Layluh

Do you think you could post a picture of how she did the closure? I'm interested in seeing how it looks, maybe I can replicate it at home

I ordered 12-14 inch ombre boho wig. Should be here next week. I'll update you ladies once I have it. If I like the boho I will likely get the U-shaped Jessica.

i contacted them about when the upart jessica would be back in stock and to contact me when it is--she replied promptly--i need 18 inches--i cant do anything any shorter...
supporting blk bidnesssss :)

Really? On the website it says it's still in stock. Or do you mean the zoe wig? I'm eyeing that zoe wig too. But I really wanna see what the boho ombre is hittin for. CocoBunny you better put up pics if you like it!

I second the supporting black bidnesssss notion :)

Here's a pic of the closure and what it looks like when it's wet.

Thanks Layluh!
I'm going to try to make my own boot-leg wig over christmas with some indian hair I have. If it doesn't work out, then I'll plunk down for the wig

I got the same emai. They say it will ship next week. I can't wait to try it!

I really needed it for tonight though but I guess I have to wait.

UPDATE***

As promised I am following up with pictures of my new Catherine Marion wig. I am so excited I didn't waste any time. It literally just arrived and I immediately put it on and took pics for your guys.

As you see this is straight out of the packaging. It came in a letter envelope and the wig was in a thin cardboard box nicely tied with a bow. The box crumpled a bit but I didn't mind. (It's not a box that you can store the wig in or keep for that matter).

Next- the wig.

The wig appears to be good quaility. It looks like it would last 1 year+

Most wigs I've purchased in the past immediately show signs of shedding. This one is not showing any signs that it will have a shedding problem.

First Impression? I like it a lot! I am very pleased with the product. I wish the shipping were faster but for the price the wig is nice.

I did not blend my hair at all in these pics ....
Bobby Wig right out of the box!!

....2 more pics I cut the wig to the style I normally wear and blended my hair.

I should note that I have a lot of new growth and did not flat iron my new growth. If I had it probably would blend even better but I do not plan on flat ironing as I do not use direct heat.

She has 2 types of wigs. 1 type is the U part and the other (the type I got) is the side part.

You tell her which side you want the part and she will make it so that there is a little 'u' on that side so you can slip a little bit of your hair out to blend.

Very little hair is left out. Here's a video from her website:

I will have to work on the look of the wig. I got the Ombre Boho because I wanted a fun kinky curly wig. What I received was a very nice wavy wig.

I also thought that the measurements for hair length where when the wig was in it's shrunken state (even though I am pretty sure that somewhere on the site it clearly states the length is determined in it's straightened state). So I have a wig that is waaay to long for my tastes and not kinky enough for my taste. Is that their fault? Nope all me.

I might try and cut it or I just might add it to my collection of things I bought on a whim with out enough research.
