What are some of the best products you have used against hair Breakage or heard of!
I need to place an order tonight so I all quick responses would be great!!!

a great leavin is Creme of Nature red clover and aloe damage repair. see my review.

Emegencee - and don't follow the directions on the bottle! Shampoo - put in Emergencee for about 15-30 Minutes - rinse , then follow up with moisturizing condish....

My fav mixture lol

I mix (using a fork) I BIG handful of Mizani Moisturefuse (you can use any moisturizing DC), 2 tablespoons EVOO and 2 whole eggs. This stops my breakage every time and leaves me with strong, soft hair. Last week I suffered horrible breakage from damp flat ironing. I could hear, feel and see my hair breaking. Some pieces were as long as 2 inches. I applied my protein mix, put on a plastic cap, and sat under the dryer for 15 mins (DC on dry hair). Then I rinsed on cool-warm water, let my shampoo sit for a few minutes, and rinsed with hot water. I flat ironed afterwards and it has been 5 days since this treatment and I have no breakage!!!!

Questions:
I have this, so you are saying not to re-shampoo after the treatment ... right? Do you put a plastic cap on for the 15-30 mins - with or without heat?

I just discover a similar thing like you, but my DC was Elasta DPR, I added one egg and some evoo no heat though. My hair was so STRONG when I washed out practically no lost strands since and talk about body and shine after rollerset. I was always complaining bout my thin hair. This was a notable difference. My leave in is Aphogee vitamin spray and I also use a very diluted setting lotion no alcohol.

Amla oil also helps me with breakage.

For severe breakage aphogee two step followed by a good moisturizing condish for weekly maintance i use joico k-pak reconstructor followed by their intense moisture treatment. HTH

So do you guys use a moisturising DC after this treatment? I have always read that you should follow up a protein treatment with a moisturizing treatment

I will def try this sounds really good!

I know I am late and you may have already purchased...but ANYTHING with "ceramides" will halt breakage, fill in any "gaps" in the hair and strengthen it as it grows out and you repair it naturally over time with good habits and practices. It's been a God-send to me, as I had MILLIONS of broken hairs everywhere just two weeks ago and NONE at the moment. I am a happy lady. The two "ceramide" products I know of...

* Mizani Rose Leave-in (I think it's an overnight conditioner. Google it to make sure)
* L'Oreal Intense Repair Cuti Liss System (Amazon and Salons only) I am not sure if it's a US product or just Europe...but Amazon can can it AND the other Repair Masque to you straight away. If you go to the L'Oreal site, look under "Professionnel," "Paris" and "Mizani" - which are all on the left hand side - to find the "ceramide" products. Usually, they fall under repair or damage or something like that.

I hope this is helpful to you!

Dudley DRC 28 is the best heavy duty protein treatment I have ever used, stops breakage dead in it tracks, always follow up with a moisturizing conditioner.

bumping! any suggestions?

my darn hair is still falling out pretty bad. i am experiencing severe breakage now. i have tried ors and also aphogee 2min and both with no results. i just ordered alter ego but before that arrives, im going to try mayonnaise.

@nicole625 the standard suggestion is to do protein treatments for breakage but imo that can make the problem even worse. My hair was breaking so bad (lots and lots of little ends) it was something i got used to and was ready to accept.

In my case i was using waaay too much protein in my hair (every single product contained some kind of protein and i didn't realise). All the Aphgoee products, mayonnaise and so-called moisturisers that actually contain protein and the dreaded glycerin and it's derivitives - my hair was just getting worse - but of course i continued their use because they are 'supposed' to help with breakage.

It took me too damn long (months) to realise this and i stopped all usage of protein and used a moisturising product line (i use Keracare and CON). It took 2 weeks for my hair to feel soft and breakage started to be reduced almost immediately.

Just 2 days ago i decided to use up a cheapie condish in my hair for detangling. Huge mistake. The label said Moisturising SOY MILK conditioner. My hair is def protein sensitive as now my hair is hard feeling, tangled and a few hairs have broken very easily. I can't wait until i can wash this out.

Bublin, i never considered that. I will go back to the basics as far as products are concerned. this means co washing with kenra conditioner and moisterizing with elasta qp sealed with almond oil. i stopped doing this months ago because my hair wasnt as soft as i would like it to be.

I've been focusing so much on using products to make my hair soft that i lost sight of maintaining the proper regime in order to keep it healthy :(

I am aware of Kenra being very moisturising but i'm not too sure about QP. If you mean the Mango moisturiser i found that drying...i think it also has protein, maybe that is why your hair wasn't feeling soft.

You have been focusing on products to make your hair soft like i was but you are using protein to achieve this and too much will make it hard/break and if you are protein sensitive it is like a double whammy of too much!

If Kenra has a moisturiser in it's line then use that or find something else that you are truely happy with. Sealing with the Almond oil is good but no good if you are selaing in drying products.

Honestly I am a newbie, at least when it comes to posting. But since the start of my real hair journey (may 2011) my hair has been breaking off like crazy!!!! I cried everyday... Then I read the boards and someone( I wish now I could give credit to this person) spoke about Mizani H2O strengthing treatment ( I believe that's what it is called) you apply it 2-3 times per week before bed.... Wow!!!! Did that ever change things. No more hairs in the sink!!!! I mean none!!! Believe me when I tell you I am a pj.... Trying every product known to man. But this did the trick. Please try this... It works.

I had to question myself when did my
