Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area, I'm a forum newbie. I'm currently in my local beauty supply store looking for castor oil and I came across this bottle of sperm oil. Is this really used for something or is someone just packing just about anything they can find and trying to make a quick buck?

It does sound funny, but this product has been around forever and its actually pretty good stuff. It's usually found wherever dominican hair products are sold.

ITA with BostonMaria- grab that conditioner if it's there because it is wonderful and becoming harder to find. Oil from the whale supposedly was used back in the day for lots of things including hair and was replaced by jojoba since it's similar and non-animal derived.

It is not whale sperm. Check the spelling. I am unsure whose sperm oil it is.
