Actually, I believe I calculated pins into the price, but I forgot to ask how many come in a pack. I believe you get 2 pins per roller. I sent them an email. I'm awaiting the reply.

ETA: They're the steel ones. I thought is wiser to buy pins locally, but I see lots of people wanted them and it would be less hassle, I guess than trying to find pins only to realize that the ones in the states are ruining your rollers, so I said, bump it.

You can also order from healthytextures.com, which a lot of ladies on this forum have done successfully. The lady who runs the site sells 2 packs of the largest size rollers for $30.

This is less costly then ordering from the fashion megastore website.

The purpose of the group order was basically to see of we can get the price of each pack of rollers lower than the prices found on healthytextures.com and lower than fashion megastore. It looks like the group order may make the rollers a few dollars cheaper then getting them through healthytextures.com as it stands.

I just checked Healthytextures.com and they now have the smaller sizes. They also sell them 12 rollers per pack. I did not realize the packs for the group order are only 6 rollers a pack for 12 bucks plus shipping. That changes things for me. I need to do a price break down and compare.

Yes. She sells them $30/12 rollers. If you are a member, or pay the $100/yr to be a member, you get 30% off.

By all means, everyone should do what is best for them. I'm not selling anything. I'm just putting the order together so we can all save some money. Everyone should do what is best which is why I'm trying to do the group order because I don't want to be a member of the site and ordering from fashion megastore and paying $80 for shipping is what I would like to avoid. I ain't got it like dat. *pats pockets*

My next touchup is Dec 17 and I'm tryna look fly for New Years'. :yep:

I think it's 12 rollers for $30...


Can regular duckbills be used with these? If not, why not lol? I've used duckbills on flimsy mesh rollers...
 
Yes you can use the duckbill clips. I have used them with the set I currently own. I decided to purchase the 6 packs I needed from healthytextures.com. Actually it was 3 packs over there because they contain 12 rollers. Once I added up the cost is was almost the same. I am a occasional member over there so I got the discount. So that made my cost for 1 pack of 12 50mm rollers about 21 bucks. I also ordered 1 pack each of the next smallest size.

Thanks JeterCrazed for getting the ball rolling on ordering. The healthytextures.com option just worked better for me at this time. :) Also thanks to Napp and MzTeaz for starting this thread and your input.

I'm very close to ordering through Macherie (healthytextures). This whole group order makes me nervous and impatient. I don't need many packs, I think I just want them mostly to be able to make a wider mohawk because I have a big head with dense hair and I seem to need TOO many normal sized rollers, it's ridiculous. I'd love to be able to fit more hair per roller and since these are much wider I have that option.

If you decide to go this route. I highly suggest you join the site for the month and check out her roller setting videos. I think they will be very helpful to you. Then you can get the rollers at the discounted price.

Great idea. I think I will because the $9.99 I'll lose subscribing will be almost repaid in the 30% off of the rollers so I may well do this. I need some more rollersetting edu anyway lol.

when i made this thread there was no other way to get these rollers other than the fashionmegastore site. healthy textures was out of stock and only had one size. i thought that if i had some more people to buy with it would help to cut the costs.

now we have a few more options:

Fashion megastore is still and option. 2-3 people can buy a 6 pack and split the rollers.

There is the Healthy textures website. "on demand" rollers available in multiple sizes from a reliable business woman.

There is the JeterCrazed Group order (AKA Plan B) where money would be put into a large pool in which would be sent to the manufacturer. they would send the rollers to her and she would send them to the ones who ordered. one time deal, possibly cheapest price.

And there was the MzTeaze plan(AKA Plan A). this didnt come to fruition because money needed to be saved and things were not moving fast enough for some.LOL the rollers would be available on amazon with mzteaze being an American vendor for the rollers. rollers could be bought at ones leisure but enough interest was needed(the point of the list) so she wouldnt be sitting on a pile of expensive *** rollers. LOL

this is what i have gathered so far. please correct me if im wrong!

I dont know who still wants to wait on mzteaze,who wants to go ahead and order now via group order or healthy textures. So Let me know something! :)

The thing about amazon is the rollers would be available for anyone to purchase. If I put in and order and wait for them to show up on amazon and some *** ordered them before I could and they sold out, Imma be mad :cursing:

^^^^Exactly! That has been my rationale from the beginning. I joined and ordered my first set of 12 50mm back in the spring. For some odd reason I thought that would be enough to set my hair. :look: Then when I realized I needed to order more she was sold out. The 10 bucks to join her site is a good investment IMO because she has good information plus instructional videos. I think a lot of folks could benefit from those videos. Once I did the math is was a win IMO.

healthytextures.com may be a backup plan for me. But not now. Keep this thread alive to keep me posted.
 
Yep, I like plan A best. I can wait. You have some of the smaller sizes that HealthyTextures does not carry. I'd like to get some of those whenever you are ready. In the meantime I signed up over there for the videos and ordered the 3 largest sizes. When you are ready I will order smaller rollers with you.

Totally understandable and I'm in no hurry . I've got like 5 other types of rollers at home right now these will be another addition to the collection.

Also whoever sells these on amazon is going to have to add on amazon seller fee charges to each pack of rollers in order to break even. Amazon charges .99 cents per sale, at least .50 cents variable cost, and then takes 15% of the sale. It usually adds up to like 3 dollars of charges that are added. I know everybody would like to keep the price as low as possible but this may raise it some for sure.

Something to consider MzTease.
I'm still game to do a group order though.
 
I will stick to plan A. However long it takes. Im not in a hurry but if it doesn't work then I have no problem with doing a group order.
 
I have Amazon Prime, so that's something that would work for me, but I need them soon for holiday do's and healthy textures is charging wayyyyy to much for shipping. $5 per pack and not even express. For me, that's $50, so of course, I'm going with the group order.
