Hey and thank you for the cool responses...the length, yea well, I said I was long winded so..."Eh". To those who wondered, I am a "RELAXED" natural. My hair is natural, all that was texturized has been chopped off, and I've never had a perm, but the relaxed part is just a statement. I said that I am relaxed about everyone else's hair being whatever they want. My STEPmother is half-indian, meaning that she is no blood relation... And um...my hair is def 4b...and I know you like pictures, but as I said, I'll post when I'm a lil more comfortable here. And yeah that's it...a lot of responses. Thank you for the warm welcome, but one ? What is OP? I'm new remember?

To help you start off:

You haven't been natural all 21 years of your life if a chemical has ever touched your hair. You received a texturizer right? Well that is a chemical...so at that time you were no longer natural ALL OF YOUR LIFE. just up to the day before you got the texturizer and the day all of the texturized hair was cut off. Just so you can understand the jokes:drunk:


I hope you can use this site to learn how to take care of your hair, natural, texlaxed/texturized or relaxed.

Welcome, my long-winded sister! I read your post all the way the through.:yep:

Personally speaking, I know once I get started writing something, ESP something as personal as a hairstory, it's hard for me to stop and I feel compelled to include details that could be left out. But the process of writing about it can be satisfying and cathartic, even if I know most people are going to skim or skip it entirely (which is perfectly understandable).

I like your "relaxed natural" moniker and I wish you much success on your hhj (healthy hair journey).

Same.
It was long, okay.
She was a little mistaken in some areas, okay.
There were no pictures, okay.
But she's new...this isn't an Adora-type situation where she had been lurking for two years and then came up in here acting a fool. If she'd only been lurking for two weeks, then she doesn't know how it works around here.
You can tell her nicely to not write a life story with no pictures...no need to be extra.

And people wonder why no one wants to come to LHCF no more.

Dang! So people were goin hard because she had a texturizer and had actually not been natural her whole life? Lots of people make that mistake...and she's new so...

Is that what was with the responses?

Welcome to the board and thank you for sharing your story. There is a wealth of information here and in time you will learn to take the good and ignore the bad. Good luck on your hair journey and don't feel pressured to share pictures if you're not comfortable doing so. Have a nice day.
