And they are on my head...done by me. I really need help to learn how to do this, this is ridiculous AND SO NOT PRETTY!

i have tried making them smaller, using different products etc but still cant get it right. someone please point me in the direction of some good tuts.

Take a close look at that last pic. There is a twist there that doesnt even resemble a twist, seriously ladies take a close look!

They are kind of big. But they look like they would make a gorgeous twist out!

ETA: The twists themselves don't look at all as bad as you are saying! lol They look pretty good, I would just make them a little smaller

chile pleeeeze! I got my whole head in 4 twists and then tucked them in like pig tails ... your twists are lovely.

Ok ok, maybe the title is a little dramatic, but these pics are making the twists look good. They are really not that good in person. some of them are puffy and frizzy and what not. Some of the strands are thicker, some thin. Some are smooth and others are poofy. Its a mess and I think I used too much product too:wallbash:

girl boo ur hair looks nice n healthy and i likes me some thick twists. if u need a good tutorial hop on that good old youtube. you can find thousands of so-called "gurus" with tutorials on there.:yep:

I don't see anything wrong with them but if you don't like them practice will fix that over time. :) I do see some puffy-ness and one twist that isn't well formed and a way to fix that is to have a firmer grip on the hair when twisting at the roots... I hope that made sense. Also if you want to make it prettier you could part your hair with the tail end of a rat tail comb; that should also help you make twists of a similar size making it more neat looking too. HTH

I think they look quite nice for a first go. At least, yours look great compared to my short sticky-out ones, which I've had to hide under a wig :ohwell:. Just keep practising and you'll be good in no time :D

Umm...did I miss the joke here or what?
Are you kidding? Are you a comedian or something? Trying to get a gig?
There is NOTHING wrong with your hair, girl. It is beautiful.

I think they are cute. What I see is thick, healthy, beautiful hair.

Aww, you ladies are really very kind and I feel like I have hair anorexia(sp), but I am adding these pics of the back so yall can really see, I have added the to the original post also:

I agree the twist would make a nice twist out. Maybe you can do hem a little smaller next time when you do it that way you will feel more comfortable with them.

They don't look bad at all, they are just big. Play with them a little. You could pin them up, leave some down as tendrils to create some sort of style.

lol that was the one that caught my eye LOLOL

but serious they are not so bad. Though if I were planning to go outside with them I wud pin them up:perplexed

Im positive they wud make an awesome twistout though

lmao i came in here expecting to see a picture of my twists. just keep practicing. i started off with ugly, tore up wormy lookin twists, and now they are starting to look normal.

semi-normal looking twists. i 'm hoping with practice they will be completely normal by the end of the year.

I never like my twists either. I will only rock them if I plan on doing a twist out in a day or two. Even then, most of the time I just stick to braidouts. I will not have a head full of twists and they will always be scalpy. I always think I've come to grips with that, until I see a beatiful set of twists. I'll wonder, well maybe if I do them, wet or dry or blowout or stagger the rows. And I have to say yours looks way better and fuller than mine, but I do understand where you're coming from.
