I must say i had no clue on how to go about using the bar but my hair was EXTREMELY soft and it lathered really well. This will definitely replace my regular shampoo.

thats great abt the shampoo bar and everything but I really came in here to say your twists r so droolworthy. I love em!

I read that you should lather in your hands then apply to hair. When I applied the bar to my hair I had shedding/strands everywhere. BTW your twists look fantastic and I love your texture.

I've never tried a shampoo bar but i think i'll give it a go. It makes sense that i use one as i only shampoo my roots and a bar would make wash days so much easier.

I didn't think of doing that!! I just applied according to the instructions but next time i may because the bar was slippery:nono:

I only shampoo the roots also and i find that it is perfect for this purpose!:grin: All you have to do is smooth it and it lathers brilliantly :)

It should last a reeeaaallllly long time:yep::yep:

I've always wanted to try a shampoo bar...what type did you use?

I used Anita Grant's unscented Babassu shampoo bar.

Ingredients:

Organic Babassu Oil or Babacu Oil
Refined Mango Butter
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Organic Castor Oil

It's all natural and my hair was definitely not stripped!!

I have been wanting to try Anita Grant products for so long, they all look so good and delish, but right now I can't get with the prices.

I've been searching for a shampoo that will not strip my hair because they all do.
I'll be thinking about this and place it on my wish list. :yep:
Thanks
PS. I'm just wondering what makes the lather?

The Lye, Water & Oils when mixed together makes soap, and other oils can create fluffy lather.

I'm in the u.k but i still couldn't get myself to buy straight from her website and brought it at a swap board instead! Much cheaper:yep::yep:

I believe they do bulk orders at nappturality.com...check it out and the owner is a member there too:grin:

OH REALLY:grin: I will check that out, that would be great, because she is so nice and those products look heavenly!! Thanks So Much!!

I love your hair. The Anita Grant shampoo bar is one of the best but pricey from the US. I use Theraneem Maximum strength Neem soap, the scented version. Love it.

Goodness gracious you have some purty hurr!!:spinning:

I forgot this was about the shampoo bar:look:.....I was too busy staring at the hair :lachen:

...off to check out your youtube channel:cowgirl:

your twists are nice. I find sudsing shampoo bar up in my hands then applying my soaped up fingers to my roots works better and i can get in the middle of it more plus I run less of a risk of breaking strands.

Your hair looks great, OP!!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of shampoo bars. I use the Juicy Shampoo Bar from KBB. I rub it in my hands, then rub my hands in my hair. I just have to be mindful not to rub the bar too much because it lathers easily.

i like to rub the bar right on also. im glad u took those rubber bands out they were making me nervous LOL pretty hair deservesd better than scary bands. thats some nice hair
