Dang it!! U made me curious about just how many bottles of conditioner I have so went to my hiding places and starting counting! I stopped at 49:nono: and still had 3 more hiding places to go!:nono: The sad part is I'm waiting on 3 orders to come in the mail and will be going on another SKALA hunt tommorrow! I NEEED REHAAAB BAAAAD!!!!:look:

Scary isn't it? And those were just the cheapies/instants.:lachen:

Not counting all the Other Deep Conditioners, Natural Based Conditioners, Masques, Reconstructors, Tubes, Vials and Everything Else.:nono:

This is my extra pile that I can't hide because there is no room for it. Vo5 went on sale last week for .69 and I bought 20 bottles, my husband just shakes his head and says I need to go to rehab, He keeps asking me why do you have to buy all of them. And I say "because it is on sale! and it's cheap. I prefer not to buy fast food for 5.00 when I can buy 5-8 bottles of skala and/or vo5 conditioners!!!!

If you are like me then it doesn't get better, you either maintain it or it gets worst. I have a shopping addiction, expecially to clearance, sale, cheap items! anytime it goes on sale and it's cheap I have to buy in Bulk. I can't control it. I go through phases from clothes, hair products, makeup, exercise equipment, and then the cycle starts over again and when it does there is something new on the market that i have to try. I went to 6 big lot stores in houston to find skala. and I only found 3 bottles. I was like a crack/conditioner head craving for my next fix. I don't even use them all. and that is the sad part.

I see you Like Multiples too!:look: :lachen: Nice Collection!

I have fantasies about someone showing up at my doorstep with cases of Silicon Mix. All for me. Is that wrong?

Girl you better open up that ebay store. Work from home... :yep:

I'd love to do that but I HATE shopping.
I know I'm a freak.

U got, u got it bad
When you're at the beauty supply
Leave and you go right back
U got, u got it bad
If you miss a day without your condish
Your whole life's off track
You know you got it bad when you're stuck in the house
You don't wanna have fun
It's all you think about
U got it bad when you're out with someone
But you keep on thinkin' bout conditioning ur hair

U got it bad

Fear not...you are not alone....I, myself, bought two huge containers of Bed Head Control Freak Conditioner last night (I actually spotted them Saturday before I went to the movies. Went to get in line to buy them, line was too long and didn't want to miss the movie so I stashed them in some rugs in the home decor department and was back there promptly at 11:00a yesterday to claim my prize).
Friday, bought a small bottle of the Garnier Triple Nutrition conditioner to try out and replenished my Mixed Chicks Leave-In last Tuesday....yup, I gots it BAD!

LMAO! I totally do that! :lachen:

:nono: Okay you ladies are shedding very little light onto my situation. :lachen:

I was already a shopaholic, and now I'm on the hair care bandwagon with no discernible way of getting off! Some of you ladies put my obsession with conditioner to shame, and you all have probably been caring for your hair a lot longer than I have! I would have thought after a few months or a year, the newness would wear off and I would be okay!

When I was a permie, I rarely conditioned my hair. Now that I am natural and taking better care of my hair, I GOTS to have mah CONDITIONER!! I NEEDS IT!! Not only for co-washing, but it works as a good leave in moisturizer too!

Based on what some of you are saying, my addiction is probably not going to get better at all! :perplexed What to do what to do?!

Also, dancinstallion, would you be willing to adopt me?! I'd be like a kid in a candy store with all those bottles of conditioner!! :lick:

I was just thinking about this. I have oodles of condish! I just recently purchased the one liter (33fl oz) big @zz bottle of Aussie Moist condish!

I love the smells of them! Not to mention i use A LOT of condish when i wash and detangle my hair. I find myself buying uncessary bottles. But I think I'm gonna chill out. My next purchase is the Tressemme naturals condish. I already have the shampoo!

So youre not alone! Condish Hoarders Unite!

WTHeezy, it looks like a conditioners warehouse

I am a conditioner addict too and also a wig/weave addict. If anyone goes to the store with me and loses me, they know to find me on a haircare aisle. It use to be so bad, that when my mother was in a wheelchair I would roll her on the conditioner aisle just so I could read ingredients. I have box loads. My family didn't need conditioner for a year because I use to give it to them.

I have calmed down though. I have my staple, but there is NOTHING like that new conditioner feel. I love to find it. I now buy my staples in bulk. I'm about to buy a case of Lustrasilk. I also moved on to buying the big 32oz bottles. I need to find the space.

I am a recovering conditioner hoarder. When I first started this journey, I was buying any and everything only to find that my hair didn't really care for about 70% of it:nono:, and I was purchasing the professional sized conditioners at that.

I have finally curbed the obsession a bit but if there is a really good sale going on, whether my hair likes them or not, I find myself buying them all over again  as if something wonderful changed about them. I can't win for losing.

~hangs head in mortal shame~

So, it appears that I am not as bad as I thought.

Yes, I am addicted to thick, creamy deep conditioners, but...BUT...I was able to effectively self-regulate during the recent Skala epidemic; I only purchased one in the interest of science, and the furtherance of follicle exploration and enhancement.

And, what I do online late at night with my debit card is betwixt me and said debit card, ya he’ah?

Yes. I have a serious problem. I have 6 conditioners. It's really sad. I think I may need professional help.

Ladies ya'll are making me find things I forgot I had. I also make my own hair conditioners and growth aides. I bought 40lbs of pure shea butter wholesale last year to make lotions and conditioners... to use and to sell . I didn't know then that 1 lb of butter can make 6+ lbs of hair conditioner. I still have so much left as you can see. I bought propylene glycol, silk amino acids, Menthol crystals, I was trying to mimic the good ingredients in conditioners to make my own. Dr. wonder went on sale and I bought like all of them. ( i figured it was half the price of megatek for 16oz) that is my justification. plus it's cheap.

@nin4eva, That was my plan with buying the shea butter and making lotions and hair products to sell on ebay, it is still on the back burner.

@Sianna, yes if I adopt you it will only make it worse because I will feel like I have to stock up for another person/pj.:drunk: It is like being in a candy store though! :yep:

lol!!! I luv your song! But Im so mad at you stashing those Bed heads in the rug!!! I am addicted to going to Marshalls, Ross, and TJ Maxx on the hunt for new conditioners. I just go to see what they have and I always walk out with a new con...we need a use up ur condish challenge for the next 6 months of the year...cant buy anymore until the 40 plus bottles we have are gone! Im trying not to buy anymore but its hard!

OMG, the bolded part is the story of my life...and we are hometown homies too:grin: Houston is soooo big, but honey I will go to every Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls from Katy to the Woodlands to get clothes, hair stuff, exercise equip lol, whatever phase Im in as well, and let me not talk about calling around for the limited edition stuff at MAC, I think if you already have a shopping problem, you are seriously at risk for pj'ism...it is what is though lol...everybody has a vice!

OMG, yall got me in here DYING!!! :lachen:

OP, I could have written your post WORD for WORD. Last week, we were in Walmart and coming up on the hair aisle. I started feeling some kinda way (even though I promised DH I wouldn't buy anything :nono:) I literally could NOT walk past the aisle. I told DH "I'm just finna look... :look:"

And then y'all know what came next........:chocbunny:

6 bottles of conditioner and 3 hair candies later..... :nono:

I felt AWFUL (but not bad enough to put any of it back) :look:

I just told DH "See? There's 3 PAGES of women just like me. We be NEEDIN' this stuff......." :yep:

Conditioners are a very hard thing to resist, and I must admit I'll spend a pretty penny on the ones my hair likes. But I only buy conditioners now as I need them. The only thing that saves me is that my cheapness is more dominant than my conditioner addiction, so even though I'm always drawn to the conditioner section as soon as my eyes hit the price, I clutch my wallet and walk away .

:grouphug3: I guess we're all in this together then! We need to start a support group or something! Though I suppose the group would be more productive if any of us actually wanted help! :spinning:

Southern Belle your entire comment just ticked me to pieces!! I could just see myself in your place standing in the hair care aisle like :nervous2:

Then just like you, I'd break down and get the conditioner, and probably some other hair care goodies and end up feeling guilty as sin, yet completely unwilling to do anything about it! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Oh, and dancinstallion, umm... don't take this the wrong way, but I think... I think I might be in love with you! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

is dr. wonder the knock off of dr. miracle?

Hey I understand. I keep loads of conditioner at home myself. Between me and DD we go through quite a bit so I'm always on the prowl for conditioners when they're on sale.

It is the same company based from the same location in ny, and it has the same ingredients as Dr. miracle. It is sold for less and is sold only at Family dollar. The boxes are almost identical. It had helped me grow in my edges from a bad relaxer. So when I saw it on clearanced I literaly cleaned the shelf at three locations.
