Therefore I have no more hair in the back of my hair. I have purchase MT and this will definitely be a challenge for it. My hair is dry even though I have done a deep conditioning treatment. I need to you to watch my back ... :yep:. I have read most of the thread concerning MT any more suggestion. I will keep u posted.

That MT will have your back filled in no time if you're consistent and try adding msm to your water 1x/day. Are you taking any supplements? Prenatal vitamins usually help too.

Yes I am taking prenatal vitamins. I will be adding MSM and Biotin but I have heard they may gave you pimple I am bit weary.

This is just an update I have been using MT for a week, I am currently into my second week. I will post pictures at the end of my second week. I am seeing very minimal growth. But the one thing that I am seeing is a lot of bad headache. I have been using it everyday out of the bottle, but after having those bad headache, I decided to stop and see what was the cause and to my surprise it is MT. Now I really would like to continue it religiously but my headache may prevent me to. Does anybody have a suggestion? and by the way Advil does not stop the pain.

get a 2oz bottle put 1 table spoon of MT then fil it with water. use it every other day. on the days your not using it use MN + S8 or BT...
You will need a good moisturizer I use Taaliah Waajid thats the only thing that helps my dry hair

I am sorry, what is BT?

Are you still using scarves? Maybe switching to a silk pillow case or non elastic bonnet will help too. essential oil's help alot of ppl as well as castor oil I hear

I think you'll have to leave wearing scarves alone for a long while unless they are satin or silk. I used to love wearing scarves on my head but they constantly rubbed out the hair along my hairline. Get a half wig or lace wig until your hair grows out again. As far as DC, just stick to deep conditioning each week and eventually your hair should respond. Once isn't always enough.

I would like to get henna in my hair for overall conditioning and I just had a relaxer a week ago. How soon can I get henna on my hair.

I share ur pain! The winter and scarves were my issue for a loooong time (actually until this winter). I started using MegaTek and I only put a silk scarf around my neck. The scarf was a little pricey but the piece of mind and having my nape not break off is well worth it.

I would reccommend using the MT every other day and use it sparingly (I use a color applicator bottle to apply) just a little does the trick. Also it's a heavy protein so make sure you also moisturize and seal.

Here's some of my pics....

Hairaboutit, how long ago was this? and how long did it take for your hair to grow back? I hope mine like yours

I have gotten really bad migraine using mega tek ... what was your hair regiment.

Rasta, your post said that you're using MT straight from the bottle. I think a lot of the ladies dilute it with oil before they use it. Maybe you should try that. It might be too strong for you when in it's pure form.

It did take some time. The first two are from 4/2009 the 3rd from 9/2009 and the last from 1/2010. I started using MT the last week of December. Have you tried applying less/ diluting?

My reggie:
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
1. Shampoo with Nexxus Therappe (2x’s)
2. Deep Condition under hooded dryer for 30 minutes with Nexxus Humectress (I find this gives me grrreat slip)
3. Leave-In with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch
4. Apply Mega-Tek to scalp only using color applicator bottle
5. Moisturize with Luster’s S-Curl No Drip (applied to the length of the hair)
6. Seal with Carrot Oil (applied to last 2-3 inches)
*Sunday only Apply Porosity Control following Humectress rinse out (according to directions on bottle)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
1. Moisturize with Luster’s S-Curl No Drip (applied to the length of the hair)
2. Seal with Carrot Oil (applied to last 2-3 inches)

I don't know what it is but using MN and MT makes my hair dry. I would moistures with NTM, biotin creme or ORS Rich Olive Oil Creme and seal with an oil. Regimen was every other day. I stopped using it consistantly, now only when I remember.

Do you ladies experience dryness and if so how have you combat it?
I was debating whether or not to restock on MT, I am running out.

In terms of MT, I think it may be the protein. When applying it regularly, a lot of ladies just apply it to their scalp and not the length of their hair.
I mix MN with Giovanni Direct Leave In (b/c it has a lot of aloe in it) and a lemongrass oil blend and I don't experience dryness. But I also don't get much on the length of my hair. HTH

My scalp was dry too, but I have been doing is since I have been getting headache from MT I alternate with Castor oil that I just got ... so not so dry anymore.

I sure did because I wanted fast result ... so what I did today was dilute with water and olive oil ... is that a good way to do it. Now I just have to see if I will still get headache.
Thank you for the suggestion

Hairaboutit ... how did you wear you hair when you were thinning out at the back. I miss putting my hair in the pony tail, now I constantly have to put a headband on to hide the back ... so fustrated. I just hope by summer I will be able to do so again.

Thanks for your response EtherealEnigma & Rastapretty. I do have a container with my condition Aveda DR, mix with the MN, MT and oils. Still dry. Then I tried applying them one at a time with the moisturizer and oils. Dry.

I only apply it to the nape and temple areas and since not much hair there it is hard not to get MN & MT in the hair.

I contribute using the MN and MT, allowed new growth for my nape area, though I am still waitng for more hair, I just want the nape hair to be soft. Maybe I should put a moisturizer on the hair first then the growth aid products for protection?

What do you think?

I know without MN and MT, my nape area hairs would not have come out from hiding. So it does work, but the dryness. Maybe I should put a moisturizer on first then the products, like protect the hair.
